Yes they do clean up somewhat..but never look the same. Very unfortunate experience. I have had the very same thing happen to my black '03 and hardly recognised it as I never seen it really dirty before.

Its a car, its made to be driven……Ive never understood the people who freak out if they get their Corvette wet. Bravo for actually driving the car and having fun!!!

The underside will not clean up so easy and i know no one sees that but if i could keep mine out of the rain i would. Some may enjoy rubbing on their ride but i prefer running a dust buster over mine and b done with it.

A little bit of dirt never hurt anything.

I heard a great quote this weekend about Corvette owners (typically older guys), who have these great cars with fantastic performance and most of them argue over who's car has the fewest miles and never been in the rain! I drive mine every possible time I can, but we all have different reasons for owning one! Zuti

Only reason I don't care to drive mine in rain (which I do when caught out in it) is because of all the crazy drivers that can't / won't drive like a sane person when it's wet ! Cars will clean up and won't shrink but sure don't want it in the body shop becuz of a stupid driver that won't slow down in the rain.

I have been caught in snow. I was amazed at how little dirt gets under these cars.
They are so flat they are easy to clean under.
But I don't think there was a spot under mine.
I get a lot dirtier in a weekend of racing. Go off the local track once and your cleaning for days.

Mine looked just about exactly like yours after all the rain we got last week. Just got her cleaned up this afternoon and it sure is nice to see it gleaming and spotless after being so very dirty just a few minutes earlier!! Makes you really appreciate how good they look when clean. Mine is black also, by the way, and my DD so she is no stranger to needing a good bath!!
