Wheel Size Help
I have a c5 2001 Coupe that I am wanting to change from the wagon wheels to the c6 z06 chrome replicas 17/18. I have gotton info from 3 wheels stores but would like to get input from someone who has them and if possible pictures.
My OEM specs are:
C5 (coupe/vert):
Front 17x8.5", 58mm offset = 7.03" backspace
Rear 18x9.5" 65mm offset = 7.81" backspace
I can't find the exact specs as my OEM wheels in the c6 Z06 chrome replicas. Their Specs are:
Front 17x9.5, 54-56 mm offset
Rear 18x9.5" 56-57 mm offset
My other twist is; I have already purchsed new Hankook tires that suggest front rim width range from 7.5 - 9" front and rear 9-11. Rear is in range but front is wheel is .5 larger than tire spec recommends. I am told by wheel store that hankook tires run big and they put them on all the time and not an issue. I am also told they don't make any wheels in my OEM spec except maybe the wagon wheels which i have already.
Three Questions for U gentlemen:
1. Will the c6 z06 chrome replica wheels fit my c5 oem spec hankook tires and not look stretched?
2. Will the difference in offset make any difference in appearance and handling?
3. Will it be more likely to get a curb mark with this wheel than my OEM wagon wheels due to different specs and offset should one get to close to a curb?
Opinons and pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had Z06 replicas on my coupe when I got it. The specs are slightly different than the stock coupe wheels but fit and work fine. You should have no problem.

Thanks guys for the reply, one last question If I could. What size tires are you running front and back please. The new tires I plan on using are:
Front - 245/45/17
Rear - 275/40/18
I saw a post today from a guy in my same boat indicating his c5 stock size tires looked weird (his word) on the c6 z06 wheels he was running. Are U guys running c5 tire sizes on the c6 zo6 wheels and is the apperance acceptable or do the wheels seem to stick out past the tire side wall. I think that is what he meant by weird. Thanks for imput, I appreciate it.

I too have the c5 z-06 sizes, and yes you should be fine with your set up. I do know what you are talking about with the wheel out past the tire. There are different tires that fit that way. It has to do with the construction of the side wall. My Michelin fit these rims perfectly
