I am new to Corvettes bought my first this last May. The people in my area that I ask about the forum give me the same deer in the headlight look. I can tell most of these guys do not do their own wrenching. That's why I think most of them don't know about this forum or any other forum. I do all my own wrenching and have on all my vehicles motorcycles etc. buy the way this is hands down the best forum I have been a member of. Thanks to all who share their wisdom.

But let me say, the 04 vette that I bought about six weeks ago had a grinding noise in the rear end sometimes when turning. I searched this forum and found a few posts by owners experiencing the same with their own C5. I took it a local Chevy dealer, told them what I had read on the CF, they changed the differential fluid & added a special additive......and now no more noise from my C5 rear end. You guys are the best!

BamaJ didn't mean to offend you if I did I apologize. I am new to Vettes the C5 I bought had some electrical issues. I got all my answers and ideas from this forum to fix it.

No, no, no you didn't offend me. But now, after re-reading my post I can understand how perhaps you thought so. I was merely trying to get my point across that even though I don't perform much, if any, mechanical work on my vette I sure won't hesitate to pick the brains of those that do. Like you, I'm new to vettes & I still feel I have a lot to learn. Hope you're enjoying your recent purchase as much as I am mine.
