Default 120,000 on the clock questions.

Hey everyone. Just took the c5 out and she passed 120,000. I was just wondering if there was anything more I can do to get 175,000 out of her?

This is a list of things I've done for upkeep on the car:
Changed the oil regularly
changed the plugs and wires at 100k
changed the transmision fluid at 110k
flushed the coolent and changed out the coolant tank (had a leak at the bottom)
changed all the pullys and the belts
Changed out all shocks and rotors, as well as pads

Is there anything I should start looking into replacing in the near future? Does anyone know how many miles one could get out of a loved c5?

Very cool, especially if you put most of those miles on it. I much admire guys, who've put 1,2, and 300,000 miles on their C5's. There are quite a few of them.
I plan and hope to join them, someday. Drive mine daily.

Check all the grounds on the car, to clean corrosion and crud off them, and snug them back up.
Check/change 'all' the fluids,(brakes, power steering, etc).
I was always told clean fluids in a car are like clean healthy blood in the body. Makes sense, I guess.
Seems like you've done a lot of the important stuff, we all need to do, already.
Others on the forum, will kick in other good suggestions, we can all learn from, hopefully.

Don

You should get double that from the motor if you do regular oil changes and take care of it.

Don't set your sights on 175,000 miles, that LSX engine is just reaching it stride @ 175K you can get twice that if you take care of it...follow the oil life monitor and use the correct oil and follow the schedules maintenance in the owners manual.

Just stay the course with what got you to 120k . Only thing would be stay on top of tires if you daily drive they do get twisty in the rain. Good Luck !

Mine is about 100k and will need a clutch soon. My '01 burns a little oil, but not bad and no leaks.
