That white cover in #17 is called a California Pop Top they cost about $80.00 and only take a couple minutes to put on.They are made of Ty-Vech and they fold up to a pretty small pack.I use mine on the Oregon Coast to keep the seagull CRAP off my convertible.Most the time I don't even put the top up.

Simple just go to Harbor Freight and get a live animal trap. Put an open can of cat food inside. Then either relocate it 20 or more mile away or leave the trap with the cat in it behind a Chinese resturant. Either way the cat won't be back.

I agree with the "cover it" method. Your top will benefit long after the cat is gone, If parked outside.
Cats love verts I know, I have had cats & they loved my convertible cars.
I think it's bc the soft top is.. well soft & comfortable for them.
The ways I know to keep them off after you cover it are:
1.Apply two-sided tape to cover, If it's extremely sticky tape rub a sweater,towel, dryer lint, dust or something to reduce the stickiness some so it;
won't hurt cat, won't have a cat/cover ball on your car & won't have a cat running around w/a cover attached
2. If tape doesn't work apply velcro strips (the stiff prickly side) to the cover, cats HATE it.
They cant stand the feeling on their feet, the stickiness & especially the prickly velcro .
*also the thick green "turf" like door mats that may work.
I believe they sell "cat repelling" strips or mats for furniture & doors at some pet stores & almost certainly on some E-stores.

We have a lot of feral cats in our neighborhood. I bought a trap and have begun trapping all cats and taking them to the pound. I know of two neighbors that actually feed these cats and make matters worse. I will not stop trapping until all of these outdoor cats are gone. We have had a cat for 18 years and he has never peed on anyone's wheels or crapped on their property. I think all cats are indoor cats or belong in my trap.

I had this problem with a DD that I kept outside. I did some research on the internet and came up with a solution that worked. I sprinkled cayenne pepper around the car for about 3 days and the cat has never been back. Apparently cats like to lick themselves when on top of the car and the pepper on their feet is a turnoff for them.

Dust the top with hot pepper. I heard that works with flowerbeds.
If you want to get tough, a buddy of mine uses a pump pellet pistol shooting wooden match sticks.
I don't know how many pumps , but he says it just scares the cats without physical harm .
I found out about this when over at his house watching the Humming bird feeder that hangs in front of his picture window. We are sitting on the couch watching the birds outside, when all of a sudden a cat explodes into the picture, all four paws grasping air as it flies past, tail helicoptering for balance, then it is gone. That's when I found out about his cat suppression method.

Get a animal live animal trap and a can of tuna then catch the cat and relocate it to a farm or the bottom of a lake. The scarecrow sprinkler works but it will water spot your car, cats are not worth it.
