Default Why I don't drive my Vette to work...

Well, Murphy was camped out and waiting for me this morning...big chunk of concrete fell out of the parking garage ceiling just as I was driving under it...

If you had driven the Vette, you would have been long gone from there when it fell.

I guess that could easily happen at my parking garage. It was built sometime in the 1950's.

I won't drive my Vette's to work because they just sit outside getting beaten down by the weather sitting on a black asphalt parking lot. That, and four years ago when I bought a CTS, it got keyed in the parking lot at work.
Foogin' haters.

Ugh! Reminds of Wrigley Field a few years ago. I hope your repairs are taken care without any drama. Make sure your insurance company does all the work in settling with the building's insurance company and the repairs are up to your standards.

I always wondered the same thing about some of the parking garages I've used over my career. Most of the time I've focused on all the other real bad parkers. There were times I could barely get in the driver's side door after someone parked their SUV land yacht over the parking stall lines.

Imagine if someone in a vert had been 3 feet ahead of where you were with the top down. That would do some serious damage to the driver.

Damn, I very sorry about that. If it makes you feel any better, my dad drives a 2014 Chevy SS as his daily. It is one SWEEEEEET car. Anyway, he was renewing his driver's license yesterday when a 96 yr old man backed into his car which was parked in an out of the way parking spot. Yes, 96 yr old driver. WTF.....

I told my dad to fight State Farm for the depreciation due to the accident and then trade it for a new one!

You must have ceramic brake pads, three feet would have saved you.

Haha.

Wow, that's horrible. Glad it hit the hood and not the windshield, would have been much worse then. Hopefully they will take care of all damages.

I'm glad that no one was injured. Cars can always be repaired/replaced. Not so with people.
