No longer a shopper
After months of looking for a good, fairly priced convertible, I finally bought one. For the first 3 months or so, I was looking exclusively at C6s. Then I got to thinking I really could swing a C7 if I made it my daily driver. My wife hated the idea and my regular DD crapped out, requiring a more practical replacement. So after buying a Lexus as my DD, I adjusted my sights to a C5. After a few swings and misses, I finally landed a 2004 convertible - yellow and black -- pretty fully loaded, with 20k miles on the clock. So I am no longer on the outside looking in.
The car was located on Cape Cod, about a 2 hour drive from my home. I took secondary roads home, along a beautiful route that took 3 hours. I went top down, of course. Coming over a small bridge to where the vista opened up dramatically -- salt marshes and the ocean on the right, a tidal river on the left, boats everywhere and the sun starting to go down, Fleetwood Mac came on the radio singing "You can go your own way."
I know, without pictures it didn't happen. I have tried to attach a picture, I hope it comes through. Otherwise I will try harder, but for tonight, that's all I can do.
Thank you all for the advice and encouragement. This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Very nice indeed.
I have an older Lexus i use as a DD and it is great. Very comfy and reliable. I call it my old man car. The 'vette is the car for the 16 year old portion of my brain.
Many happy (s)miles in your future.

I love the car. The seller did not want to sell, had no need to sell, and just worried himself to death about it to the point where he wasn't enjoying it even though he really loved it. His loss is my gain.
I'm thrilled.
