The more you can remove the better...it allows the painter to get between the creases and allows for the panels to be sanded down evenly. Also, the rear left quarter panel needed to be replaced from a slight crack from the previous owner.
This is the second car I had painted and it was the same, but this car can be reduced more than most.

The car should look really good in Carbon Flash Metallic. Be sure to post up pics when you get it all done.

danger, I do agree. I have visited and spoke to almost all the recommended paint shops in the area. I had quotes from 2-15k for a full respray. Although there is a thought that more expensive is better, I choose this particular shop for two reasons, customer service and their workmanship. I spent about 2 hours looking around the shop at various vehicles in multiple stages of repairs and was satisfied with level of detail preformed. Most of the vehicles had front or rear end damages, but the client list was based on many State and Federal entities.
I have visited the stop about 4 times since she has been down there (about 45 mins away) and each time I am allowed to roam the shop to see the car being prepped and fixed. The last time I was down there, their painter was starting to mix the paint for the car to start on the front panels and asked me to look at the paint to ensure the color was right. I have only came across this level of customer service from a very small backyard painter. I am stoked to pick-up the car in about a week to see how she has turned out! Many pictures to follow!!

looks good so far man , and yes it is best to have the panels removed whenever its possible.
These vettes are great because nearly everything can come off and the parts are very light which makes it easier.
5K is a lot of money but half of that cost is with the removal and install of all your panels , IMO its a fair price.

One more week!
I am amazed at how far the car can break down. Most cars only the parts that open, front fenders, and bumpers.
Thanks and...your British? When I was in the UK, only seen a handful of Vettes
Thanks...I am excited as well

Dropped by today to bring a new seal where the rear of the targa and body come together and she is coming together. I addressed a few areas where there is either heavy spray or a few lines in the clear, but since this is out of the booth and not been sanded, buffed, nothing...im not concerned...here some pix from today
