Corvette Rallying: Blasphemous or Badass?

WTF is a "waxer" suppose to mean? Is that your approach at a condescending reply to someone who takes care of their equipment? WOW you really nailed us there The opposite being someone who doesn't service and protect what they own? I can think of a few names for you if you happen to fit that description...
No, no one would bat an eye if someone did that in an STI because this is not about value, its about purpose built vehicles. Hang in there with me and try to put the pieces together...it may make sense...not everything is tied to dollars. The Corvette was built for the road/track. The STI was built for (and from) the road/road rally. I wouldn't vacuum my lawn with my Dyson and I don't rally my waxed Corvette.

I think this is horrible and a total waste. There is no such thing as "already trashed". How many "already trashed" 67 Stingray's have been restored and sold for 6 figures? Every Corvette has or will one day have value. The car demands and deserves more respect than this. This is just another reflection of a generation of useless individuals who feel entitled to freebie's and fail to respect what others work for.

damn that looks like fun!!! I wonder what exhaust system he has, that thing sounds good...that was several days of footage edited together, at one point the front bumper was hanging off and at the end it looked like he hadn't hit that big *** tree yet...lol his car his repair bills, you only live once!!!

Would I do this to my Vette? Hell NO!
But then again my car does not have almost 400 000 miles, mismatched doors and body panels and who knows what else wrong with it.
To answer the threads title - I vote BAD ***.
The way I look at it, this is not a car of any value. It is a mass produced CHEVY at the end of its natural life. No value, except in the eye of its owner who is using it exactly for what it's made for - bringing a grin to his face.
If this car could talk it would be saying "Thank you for letting me go out with a bang instead of donating my organs."
As much as I like Corvettes and loved every one I've owned (5 so far) they are nothing more than fast sporty mass produced cars. At least the run of the mill C5s are. This is not a one-off Callaway or a rare LT5 ZR1. I wish there were more people like him with the ***** to actually enjoy his car anyway he finds fit, instead of falling victim to the prejudice of what should or should not be done with this or that.

My buddy and I part out 'wrecked C-5s, and every once in awhile we get one in that is very drivable, but in such shape that it'll never be sold intact,,,well you know,,,,It is kinda fun to burn off what's left of the rubber.....
BTW Anyone that wants to drive their car that way, it is none of my business,,,or likely yours.
