Steering Wheel Tilt Doesn't Work
Hello All. The steering wheel tilt lever on my 03Z seems to have become disconnected. The wheel is stuck in the full up position, and the tilt lever moves back and forth with no resistance. Does anyone have an idea about what the problem might be?

Make sure the tilt actuating lever is fully engaged. On my 2000 it has walked out to the side once or twice. I was able to push it back into place and it works fine.

The lever doesn't move beyond it's normal travel, but the spring mechanism isn't connected, as there is no resistance when moving the lever.

Look about half way down the attached document and see if that describes the problem you are having. If so, a solution is there.
