I want rear fenders, Not
Sure if I want 1 1/2 or 2 inch flared.
What is the best fender to get with the least amount of work to fit right?
I don't want this to turn into a nightmare install.
What would you get? and size?
Thanks.
Mr.Bill

Check out the TPE fenders. I just received mine last week and the quality on them is great! I passed on the L5's because of how these TPE's flow so much better with the lines of the C5. Not to mention you wont' have to deal with the poor customer service and product quality issues Lewis 5 Motorsports has been putting out lately.
My car is currently being scheduling into the shop that will be doing the install/paint for me. I'll let you know how it goes. For now here's a car with the TPE's installed before paint.

Your car will look amazing with flared fenders Bill. I agree with Maxx; the TPE fenders do blend into the rest of the body lines much better than the L5s do. I'd say a deciding factor as to which width you'd want to get would be the availability of wheels and tires that you like in the size you'll need to fit the fenders. If I had my choice, though, I would go with the 1-1/2" just because it's a little more understated.

Are they even still in business? Where did you buy them? Link?

Jeff still sells the TPE fenders just have to know how to get a good of him. If max doesn't give you his info I will.
Funny thing is when I dropped my car off to paint and body my painter thought the fenders were OEM. That's how good they look. Now there were some little things that needed to be sanded but I can say I was really impressed by what showed up.

What's with all the secrecy with who or who is not selling TPE rear quarters? I don't understand that, everyone is sending PM's, is it like some industry secret or something? Wow just put the info out their for whoever needs it.

That would be nice. I can see not doing it if a forum vendor sells the parts and the other vendor is not a forum supporter, but other than that, it would be useful info for others.

I have the TPE fenders and they arrived a mess.
Bill everybody (almost) with the flared fenders are all most
a cult. Flared fenders can cost you a lot of money to get them
in a proper condition to put on. And then there is paint. I have
the same color as you. Our color is very hard to blend, if you
can find anyone to do it. You will end up painting more of your
body than you expected. More money.
The end result --you could of tubbed for much less money. And
because there are so few tubbed vettes , you can start your own
cult.
Good luck what ever you do. You can't say you weren't warned.

IM guessing that some people feel the Carbon creationz flairs are not in the same league as the L5's or TPE. I've seen all three flairs and right out of the box, the carbon fiber creations flairs look like a finished product, with no post mold issues. To me the L5 look too much like a bubble. its just my educated opinion.
here is a shot of the 2 inch carbon creations carbon fiber quarters, just as they are received out of the box.. note the finish is already top notch. The carbon creations flairs are also the most inexpensive of the three. Also Pete is a real stand up guy, much like Dennis of Double D mods.

My TPE's right out of the box!
I sold those CCW's the following week as they were no longer wide enough.
Bill... "Frank Zappa Bill"...
Your car deserves nothing less than the best.... I am sure YOU will make the best decision for YOUR car.... Which by the way is on of the nicest on this board.
you cannot argue w this view...

Once you add 2 inches to your wheel well, you have to figure out how to fill it. The right way is to do it without spacers or adapters. I had 11 inch wheels back there, I now have 13 inch wheels back there. If I did the math correctly, I added two more inches of wheel to fill in the extended wheel well area. The idea behind adding flairs is so that you can add more foot print, more rubber to the ground. to add two more inches of rubber to the foot print. If you use the same tire you had before the flair, then the only thing you did was make your car a poser.
here is a shot of my former rear tire next to the new tire I was able to put on my 13 inch wheels . BTW the offset built into the wheel is how it sits with relation to the inner wheel well, the rotor clearance and the necessity to keep your rear brake ducts. I had John at CCW build me a 13 wheel that would accomplish this. No adapters or spacers. Pushing original tires out two inches changes the MOA geometry, causing excessive load on the bearings. Example, take a bowling ball and hold it next to your body. then take the same ball and hold it out from your body two inches. because the MOA changes , so does the load. much more effort required to hold that Bowling ball out 2 inches from your body.
on the left Nitto Invo 345/30/19 on a CC 505 19 X 13 wheel ... ON the right a Michelin Pilot sport 305/30/19 on a CCW 505 19 X 11

...from your subject line, I thought this was going to be quite a different thread.
Couple questions;
Would you be doing the fitment work yourself or using a shop?
Do you already have a painter/paint shop picked out? (the same?)
Mahalo!
