WHP out of a stock 03 Z06 fuel pump?!?!?
I've got a 03 Zo6 w a Ls2 stock long block and a cam shaft, well it's time for a new cam via a bad lifter....
Wanting to add power while it apart naturally.... I see that the car has the stock Ls6 28.8lb injectors still in it so I'm gonna assume the fuel pumps stock also....
Car was built when I bought it...
Car was at around 420whp w out any fuel issues when I had it on the Dyno last summer
66k on it
I wanna change the Cam out for a better one so we may need a new set of injectors but I Duno what WHP the factor fuel pumps in theses cars will net
Thx

No cam-only setup will tax the stock fuel pump too much. I'm pretty sure it handles ~500 rwhp. Usually only guys with boost or a stroker (or possibly an extreme H/C/I setup) will bother upgrading the pump.

Another piece of info, in case you're unaware: The fuel pump is easy to replace on early 2003 models (and all preceding C5s). But at some point in the 2003 model year run, they moved it inside the tank, making it a costly PITA to service. I don't know when the switchover happened though...
