Floor Mats and Cup Holders

Floor Mats and Cup Holders
I would like to add a good set of Floor Mats to protect the carpet and original mats in the car, does anyone have any suggestions on whats good and bad? Also, what is the best cup holders to use out there, I have seen some that use the original plus secure it with the ash tray and some that mount to the side of the console near your legs, any pros and cons on those?
Thanks,
Thanks,

The travel buddy (forum vendor) is the only cup holder out there worth a damn. I have the double in mine and love it. I too need mats, but haven't because I have 400 other things on the list.

It's removable in seconds, and it can be made to fit driver or passenger side. The "basket" is avail in all colors and can even be found in Carbon Fiber ( upscale bicycle shops....). I'd prefer carbon fiber next time but that day wally-world near me only had RED left!
Simple and small. Give it a try ?

I prefer the non-logo version of the Lloyd's mats for a "daily driver" as the mats with fancy stitching/logos get dirty looking and rapidly deteriorate. They are plush, well made and hold up really well.

I have the double Travel Buddly and the factory floor mats in mine. The only time I have trouble with my floor mats is when they are not hooked up to the hooks on the carpet. The hooks do a good job of keeping everything in place. Look at the photo in post #4. If you leave your mats unhooked they will end up in and around the gas and brake pedals. The passenger side has the hooks too.

regarding cup holders..... here's a DIY cup-holder for your consideration that I did after only about 1 day of contemplation after buying my C5 about four months ago.

There is no perfect cup holder on the market. The travel buddy is close but I still don't care for it. The cups rub on the side of the console and I don't like that.

My (logo'ed) Lloyds are still in really good condition, even after being a daily driver for 12+ years)

I would go with Lloyds Mats, they seem to be the highest quality. I got a cup holder a few years back from forum vendor "Girl in a Box" but I haven't seen of heard of her in a long long time.

Travel buddy and Lloyds mats in your choice of colors or logo. I use contrasting dark mats for every day driving-- shows less dirt . . .and then the matching lighter logo'd mats for club events and shows.

Now this is completely functional and looks completely in harmony with the stock interior!!!!! Yes, I realize that he has a very nice Vette Essentials set of seat leathers.
I have the Travel Buddy double like this one and the Lloyds mats and it is an awesome look and more than worth the money in a number of ways......more so years later!!!!
