Since I had 2 original antennas--I decided to cut one to 3.5 inches--capped it and looks stock with great reception--what design engineer at GM thought the 30 inch was the way to go-that is by far the most ridiculous antenna ever from any factory-

Which cars have external antennas? Mine is in the windscreen.

I know you people don't speak English but really? So the Z06s have that awful looking appendage sticking out of them and the standard C5 has a nice hidden arial, seems back to front to me. :-)

Power antennae add weight versus fixed antennae, so the Z06s didn't have them.

I'm not talking about the power antenna, I'm referring to the antenna imbedded in the windscreen (windshield for the English impaired). Do yours not have this? Maybe because mine is an export model?

Only in coupes, but they had antennae in the front and rear glass

Since verts have no fixed rear glass and Z06s have lightweight glass, those cars don't have the embedded antennae

I wouldn't mind that at all; maybe if I ever widebooty this car
