Default MGW shifter shorter than stock?

My question is the MGW shifter shorter height wise than the stock C5 shifter? I ask because i just installed the C6 shifter for the C5 and its noticeably taller than the stock shifter. Its almost to tall but to to bad. I just ordered the MGW and im hoping its shorter height wise than the stock C5 shifter. I already know the throws are shorter just hoping the handle height is shorter. Thanks for the help.

Yes the MGW shifter can be shorter (or taller) because you can adjust the height. Cant tell by your pics but the C6 shifter **** looks like it is taller than the shifter?!

I shortened my stock shifter 1 3/4" and use my own custom shift *****, and 2 washers in the Anti-venom style mod.

^^^^^^^

I don't remember if you can make it longer than stock, but you can definitely make it shorter. About 30% shorter if I remember correctly.

Great, positive shifts...recommend anti-venom mod with 1 washer.

I run the TPS 427X C5/C6 short throw shifter on mine. It's very short and it has an angle to it. I also did the Anti-Venom mod. Adding the shifter was one of my most favorite mods that I have done to my C5 Z06 so far.

Stock vs TPS shifter comparison:

I have the b m ripper now and it's very notchy. It's almost hard to shift but I don't have anything to compare it to other than stock. I love the really short throw. Do you do much driving around town or racing? Also where can I find of these? I assume I can throw my hurst ball on this?

I do a lot of around town driving with mine, with the occasional get on it burst every so often.

The Hurst **** should fit. This is the thread from which I purchased mine from a while back. Not sure if they're still running this deal or not but you can give it a shot.

The MGW looks and feels better than any shifter out there ! I just love driving my car more with the MGW and yes it will be shorter than stock C5 and C6 as these shifters feel like ur driving a truck in my opinion! or just like any other car out there ! the MGW will look just right in your car, actually perfect ! I would never waist my time on a C6 shifter after having the MGW now if I buy another vette!
