Do you think C5's will be worth more then C6's?

Who really cares which car will be worth more in the end? If you like the C5, it is worth more to you than a C5.5. If you like the C5.5 better, it is worth more to you than the C5.

Depends upon the car.
I can see a C5 Z06 eventually being worth more than a Base C6, especially before 2008. They are almost equal in price now. Not but a few grand difference between a C5 Z06 or Vert and a 2005-2007 Base C6 now.
The C6 Z06 and C5 Z06 in the same condition, and you would have to say not likely that a C5 Z06 would ever be worth as much as a C6 Z06, at least not for a very long time. Both cars were revolutionary, but the C6 Z06 has more on tap than even the current C7 (except interior and electronic enhancements).
Personally, I like the body lines of the C5 much more than the C6. The C6 Z06 and ZR1 however, are in a special class.

Sure you can find examples, but overall C6s will be worth more valuable than C5s. A low mileage 91 is worth more than a low mileage 81.

Not in the price guide I have.(vettefinders).and not looking at the autotrader. Low mileage 81's are about 15k 91's are about 12k

Commemorative Z06's are going for more then 05 coupes right now and it looks like regular 04Z's are too price guide has them both worth more then a C6.

C6 owners don't want to hear this, but the same things happened with the C3s, C4s, and C5s in recent years. Not that long ago, you could get a middle of the run C3 for practically nothing. Then the C4s started to hit rock bottom. Now the C5s are approaching the bottom. In a few years, the C6s will be there. It's what happens in the vette market. Vette enthusiasts like old and new, but there's very little love for the middle. I haven't looked at official price guides, nor do I care what they say. I'm interested in real world numbers. And at least in my area, early C6s are becoming very affordable. And they are only going to go down. Eventually C5s will bottom out and start to rise as collectors start to pick up these "old" cars. But C6s will still be dropping.
Compare a '77 coupe and an '87 coupe. A '94 coupe and a '99 coupe. An '03 coupe and an '07 coupe. Look at their current prices and their trends and you'll see there's a very good chance that five years from now, the '07 will be cheaper than the '03. Obviously no one knows for sure and things we aren't even thinking about could change all of that, but it's inevitable.

I didn't buy my C5 as an investment (nor should anyone). I bought it for enjoyment, which I do very much. So basically,it doesn't matter to me if it's worth more or less than a C6. I had a '69 big block for many years. Great car and worth more than my C5 right now, but I enjoy driving my C5 way more than the C3. Just my opinion. Zuti

If my opinion is worth anything (which it's not) I hope c5's stay cheaper. This is only because I want another c5 in the stable though. My bet is that prices will be close enough in the future that it doesn't really make too much of a difference. C5 coupes will be close to c6 coupes, c5z's may be a little more than c6 coupes, but I don't think a c5z will ever catch a c6z. Ever. Unless it's say, a ragged out c6z and a pristine c5z that's rare.

I didn't compare them Bikeridega did..and from what I've seen I just corrected him..this thread is more about base C5 vs base C6 future value because late Z06's are already worth more then early C6's right now.
