Any Product You Wish Existing in the C5 World That Doesn't Currently?
Hi Folks,
My name is Luke, I have an electrical engineering degree from UCLA, and have worked as a Product Manager for the past 10yrs in the Telecom/Semiconductor industries.
I'm a long time auto enthusiast (own a 2003 C5Z myself) and recognize that there are products out there in the C5 world that may not yet have been brought to market for various reasons (or maybe they have but they haven't met your performance/quality objectives).
I'm wondering if there are any products out there that stand out for you on your wish list that you'd love to have or wish existed but that haven't yet been designed/manufactured for our cars.
I look forward to hearing your opinions as both myself and my partners are interested in pursuing the option to bring certain products to market.
Thanks!

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to mention the rear diffuser... What I think you'll find is the reason people start to make rear diffusers, and then shy away is that the diffuser traps all of the heat from your exhaust in with the transmission and differential. Therefore, not only would you have to front the bill for a large expensive new part, but also the cost of external diff and trans coolers. On top of that, you can generate A LOT more downforce with an adjustable rear wing for a lot less money.

a flux capacitor and someone to rebuild or upgrade the early model C5 ECBMs when they fail...at a reasonable price.

Fender flares for the front and rear that don't all look the same. RB/LW style bolt ons or something like JS racing fenders or Feed. Not going to super levels of wide- just wide enough so I can run wide tires on the front- not just the rear. 11in wide deep dish square stance.
Like this... pretty much exactly like this. At some reasonable price. Not too wide. Just wide enough.
A head unit that only plays music from an MP3 player. No FM/AM, no CD. No Nav. No lights. Three buttons and a plug- nice and small. I've searched high and low. I've tried building my own. Everything aftermarket looks out of place for the look I'm going after and is a theft magnet. Just need a simple device that isn't 8 million dollars (I know about the Ipod specific ones with the doc but too much cheddar for something that's going to disappear if I leave my car in a parking lot- Also Android phones and tablets). I know someone with a little more knowledge than me in electronics could figure it out.
Something to increase steering angle a couple of degrees (goes in hand with the fancy front fender flares). Sometimes I feel like I just need a few extra degrees when the *** end of my car tries to play catch up with the nose- or when I want to get sideways because it's fun.

A good fix for the early C5 EBCM's like stated above a couple times. I haven't had any issues yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

I mentioned this in RadioFlyer's LED turn signal thread and it seemed to be dismissed. But I would really like power folding side mirrors like some of the luxury brands have.
