Natchez Trace
I just finished driving the Natchez Trace Parkway. It was a nice drive, but not nearly as entertaining as the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Nearly the entire 440 +/- mile road was very good, smooth pavement. I had some rain, so the top was only down for about 1/4 of the drive. The rain also reduced my stops to look at the various exhibitions.
My 2004 Corvette performed well. I filled up the tank in Nashville, and made it to the end without refueling. I had an overnight stop in Tupelo, and some driving around the various attractions. Total distance was 465 miles, with a 15.0 gallon fill at the end. 31 mpg average (DIC said about 32) was quite impressive. 6th gear cruising at 50-55mph generates quite good mpg.
Overall, it was worth doing, but I don't think I will do it again. Some trips you do just to do it, and others are so good you want to do them again. The Natchez Trace, for me, does not fall into the do it again category.

Sounds like your car ran very well on the trip and the gas mileage was excellent.

I ride the first 30 mile stretch of the Natchez trace that starts in nashville to leipers fork just about every weekend that it is nice out. You will see me on a bright orange zx10 lol it is the most fun stretch with the constant curves and big sweepers. There is usually a large number of cyclist and sport bike riders out on the weekends
