Default My C6z Brake Install

Decided to install C6z brakes, rotors and SS brake lines. Also installed GS wheels to clear the brakes. My CCW 505a fronts would not clear. Currently debating whether to have John at CCW to cut me a new set of front 505a's that will clear.

Started with these I purchased from a forum member.

After cleanup and paint, ready for rebuild. Installed seal kit.

Installed Front

Installed Rear

Looking good
I thought about the C6Z brakes as well.
Would be nice to run big calipers but I just can't sacrifice lip on wheels for brakes.

Oh MAN that looks good, and I'm sure it stops a helluva lot better! Nice job on the install, they look right at home on your car.

Looks great... can you tell a big difference in whoa-ness? Was it a giant PITA to get the brakes completely bled? Sometimes switching to the braided SS lines will bring up a code in the DIC, any problems there?

Braking feels about the same.

Bleeding was easy.

I did get a code. From my research it throws the code because it detects the pressure difference while bleeding the brakes when the car is running. Evidently you won't get the code if you bleed the brakes without the car running.

They look great, I really like the black decals, man the rims look awesome with your car, especially with it being red, I'd think long and hard before doing anything else.
This was one of my favorite mods to date, just hard to beat as far as looks and performance.

I'd love to do this mod but I just can't justify the total cost, brakes + new wheels/tires

More pics! Try and get some where the sun falls on the wheels so we can see the detail with the full car shot!

I'm deciding on my CCWs to clear a future brake upgrade!

Why bleed the brakes with the car running?
That just invites air to enter your abs module and require a tech 2 to open the valves for rebleeding.

I would LOVE to do a big brake upgrade but after speaking to John I don't want to have to replace my CCW Classics. There might be another option out that that I'm not aware of yet but time will tell. mefly -- Those look GREAT on your car.

I was trying to multi-task. I had the car running to bring the oil up to temp so I could do an oil change after bleeding the brakes.

I struggled with pulling off my CCW 505a's. My rears clear but I would need to purchase new fronts if I decide to re-install them.
