This is a great forum site. Decided to join after I finally got red 97 coupe MT with 72k mi. for $13500. Had a few vettes over the years, first one a 65 coupe when I was 18 for $1500. Guess I should have kept that one. After that it was a 69 BB coupe, then a 73 vert, another 69 that I sold 12 yrs ago. Really like the C5 though. Wanted a C6, but gave up trying to find a buyer for my 96 Impala SS. After spending the last 18 yrs. building from scratch a street legal Camaro stock car, (featured in May issue of Popular Hot Rodding) I wanted to build another car, but I need 2 stalls in my garage, and only 1 left, so I decided to buy a car I could just drive and work on as needed. Only changes I've made to the car so far is remove the illegal window tint, and tail light blackouts. No TPMS sensors so I installed those. Also removed the BSM. I like the cleaner look. Always loved the Hurst t handles. Have had one on 9 different cars, and found one on ebay machined to fit the C5. Thinking on replacing the Borla stingers. Love the sound, but would rather be able to get on the throttle without drawing too much attention.
