How well do the lights show through with the tint being so dark?

I have the dark cherry halo lights...and yes, they are hard to see in bright sunlight. A bit unnerving and I'm very careful when I have the sun to my back when in traffic.
I can't bring myself to change them though as they cost so darn much, and they work well and look so good in all other conditions.

I'm a fan of the blacked out look on torch red.
But my blacked out lights are LED-when you think about it, look at a stock C5 taillight in direct sunlight. It's not very bright either.
