Default Plasti dip fixes boredom

Got bored with the gunmetal wheels so I figured I'd try something different with plasti dip. Tried out there vintage gold color, I'm kind of digging it on a dark green vette.

So I thought I would share enjoy!

WOW!!! That does look very sharp!! Usually when I see Plasti-dip in the title, I think Oh Gawwd, what now?!?!?

Those colors are amazing together!! I love green on 'Vettes. Good job!

Thanks all!

Yes the stripes are actually the same color I used to have on the wheels, just left them on there for now. Don't think I want gold stripes but I may just pull the gunmetal ones off.

As far as the lug nuts go, I've taken the wheels on and off several times after dipping the lug nuts they will start showing wear on the dip after a while but you don't notice it much because its recessed in the wheel, the tops of the nuts stay looking good for a very long time. I took all the wheels off to apply the plasti-dip.

Pics before I trimmed the lips on the wheels, I was thinking about respraying and leaving the dip on the lips but I'm liking the machined look for now.

Yup I lightly scored a line around the wheel while the dip was still soft, then after it drys it comes off exactly on the line.

Yes sir, clean up of over spray is easy as rubbing it off with a microfiber towel.

Nice job! Consider using black or chrome lug nuts so they don't look like they were over sprayed.
