this whole thread doesn't make sense

if the car goes 122mph with that et it's heavily modded which makes the low price even more suspect

the price, the condition, it's almost like some attempt to try and convince someone the market is lower than where it really is.

a modded 04z in good shape that runs 122 for 13.9 would have been sold the same day it was listed if the car had any sort of exposure

Theres no BS....

car has Longtubes, borla stingers, black wing and tune. I ran it on ET streets at OIR last friday night.

I pulled the ad down because I was getting non stop text from idiots saying because of the miles that around 10k was all it was worth. Just got tired of it!

Just cuz you couldn't proof read my ad doesnt mean bs.....and your the reason why I didn't post it on hear cuz theres always one dip **** that has negative crap to say.

Im not going to just give the damn thing away. Ill keep it and let it set before that.

For my personal use, I lost interest when you mentioned the ET and speed. Miles add up quicker 1/4 mile at a time.

....not in southern Cali; Just in Autotrader, it looks like Z06s account for 50% of the Corvettes listed for sale.

Autotrader has a guaranteed price offer from local dealerships and car lots. Just for the heck of it, fill it out and see what you'd get. (It's an instant quote). Now add at least $2000 to that. This is what you should get if selling to a private buyer.

The instant quote is a lowball offer. Anytime I've used it, it comes back at 50% of fair market. If you want quick money, it's easy. But they aren't going to offer you much. At least that's been my experience.

I bet you get a $8k or less offer on Autotrader. I'd say it's a $15k car.

My offer was $15k, about $3000 short of a private sale, but certainly not 50% less.

Damn, they offered me $6k for my Ford F350 (sold for $12k private) and $4500 for my ladies Rav4 (books out at $11k, just started looking to sell it). But that's the only times I have used it. Wonder what my C5 goes for...

<edit>Your Instant Trade-In Offer is: $10,322, that's $4k less than I paid and $6k less than it was listed for (bought it in Nov). Not insulting, but not great.

bud

if all this is true, why is it you haven't sold the car on ebay? should easy get high 15s or 16 based on closes i've seen, again, provided they aren't major issues. the dark display i would also fix ahead of time. will take you half an hour and 5 min with a soldering iron

set the terms to cash or wire transfer only and sell the car

in fact

here's a 100k mile 02, bidding is at 14k with days to go on ebay. car appears to be average condition, not even top of the line for the mileage.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-c...03k-miles.html

watch the auction, i bet you anything it closes about 15 which is why i was saying 15-16 for yours would be easily doable, especially with a few grand in mods

Im not registered on ebay thats why its not on there.

I recently lost my job so I put it up cheap this week to pay some bill and I really thought that cheap would be a good deal for someone thats always wanted a corvette. I got a great deal on it it was my first vette. But all I got was idiots wanting to steal it to just flip it for $$$

I prob could fix some of the little things but job offers arnt coming in like I hoped they would.....but the bills are still rolling in just fine...

guys thanks for all the info. I really do appreciate it
