Hope the cam is blower friendly now that you have the bug. Car is beautiful. Looks like mine. I have stopped around 800hp for a while. I need my wife to buy something expensive to justify further mods.

It would not be my favorite cam selection to have such a narrow powerband with a split of 60 between HP and TQ---- Looking at your chart-the lines cross about 5300 RPM
So your powerband is between 5300 and 6500-----
-Unless you are consistently running it above 5300 you are losing tons of TQ below that--and that's where races are won
---before 1/2 track----
For example a bone stock C7 has 460 lbs TQ at 4800 !!!That's 70 more than your set up at 500 RPM less !!!!
I would have your tuner shoot for better TQ numbers----HP is just for FORD's and looks nice on paper----LOL

390tq is pretty normal for a cam only 5.7 and when im banging through the gears im not going below 5600rpm... And unless im reading that wrong i have well over 300tq before 3000rpm lol.

Horsepower and torque curves always cross at 5500 no matter which motor...

Great #'s btw for cam only. Truth be told I don't known if I've ever seen cam-only numbers that high. What are the cam specs?

I was thinking of getting heads but it made decent numbers with just a cam, so spray and a cai is next on the list

Solid numbers for that cam; I'm curious about the conditions for that run since it is pretty high for the mods

um.... i must say i disagree... that cam is only giving up a little trq below 4000 rpms, but over all a pretty nice trq curve from 4000-redline and btw u cant really compare vvt DI 6.2 vs a cam/bolt on 5.7. as said before horsepower and trq mathmatically intersect at 5252 rpm. no matter what. great #'s to the op, looks like great chosen valve events for a top end oriented cam. lets see some trap speeds!

" a top end oriented cam."
Is what you said---... and so did I --only I other words----I said "Unless you are consistently running it above 5300" which means basically the same thing

You can run it and shift way up the RPM band over 5300 in every gear-----BUT 1st !!!
So unless you are prepared t launch it at 5300 RPMs-- 300 ft. lbs of TQ at take-off is sluggish----My opinion form experience---

If you go by SAE numbers you actually made less power on the dyno jet.

Looks like it's calling out for a 7k redline. I prefer narrow power bands after growing up racing 2-stroke stuff. The idea of just mashing the throttle in any gear and having the same power is silly to me, might as well buy a damn diesel.

you keep saying the powerband is 5300+.. are we looking at the same graph?? makes 350trq @ 3900 rpm. yes the trq curve is shifted a few 100 rpm high, but its a nice curve. with 3:90 gears thing must rip. i see a great power band from 3900- redline.
