Default Air Fresher

The prior owner of my '04 convertible was a heavy smoker and the car reeks. I bought "Meguiar's Whole Car Air Re-Fresher" can mister. Works like the bug bomb aerosol.

I do not want to use any product that may compound the problem of screw up my corvette. Has anyone ever used this product? Any info will be welcome.

You might want to take it to a professional detailer. They should be able to get rid of most of it. Hope the car was a real good deal, as I would never buy a ex smokers car...IMHO.

It was a sweet deal. My wife is an former smoker and it bugs her also. Since I've owned it, the odor has diminished substantially just by having the windows down and top off while outside and in the garage. I'll take it to a detailer and use the Meguiar's as a last resort. Thanks for the input.

Before someone suggest using an ozone machine, Don't use one. They will get rid of the odor, but are very hard on plastic. Might try closing the car up and sprinkle some baking soda on all the carpets, even in the trunk, leave it set a few days then vacuum it up. Problem is letting it sit a few days now that spring is here.

Should be money well spent to get rid of the smell.
