Default A Pillars from Redlinegoods.com

Here is the next upgrade photos after I completed the simple installation of Redlinegoods A Pillar covers in Torch Red. I must say that feeling and seeing the difference in premium grade leather and color matching stitching is well worth the expense! I can't wait till I get the Dash and console covers as well! The transformation from cheap GM vinyl into REAL leather is my dream. Work goes on....

Thanks Jack....you did good!

Those look really nice. And you mentioned it was a simple install. Encouraging. Thanks.

Looks great! I love the functionality of the c5 interior, but some real leather would be awesome!

This is actually one of the simplest jobs to do. I just popped them (covers) off, they are snapped in. I took a small screwdriver and pried off those little vents cause they are just snapped in themselves so pay close attention on which side to pop out. I laid the pieces down on my bench and removed the little staples and peeled off the old vinyl. There was some foam left on the piece but I used a bench grinder and wire wheel to quickly remove the old foam from the plastic. BE CAREFUL and don't burn or melt the plastic!

Once all the old stuff is gone, simply lay the plastic over the leather cover to check the fit and find out exactly where you want the seam to run, and then glue it down and smooth everything out!

It's DONE, get a beer to celebrate, take a few pics, have the wifey come and look at your wonderful job.

I'll say this.... I couldn't afford to spend all that money it takes to buy an interior leather package from one of the other vendors for several thousand dollars. So I'm really glad to do it myself from the RedlineGoods pieces they offer, even if I have to do it one piece at a time. In the end once it's completed I'll be VERY HAPPY!

Edited...It was a 3 hour job.

Looks great. Do they provide the vents? Also, any plans for a new leather steering wheel after the new leather dash?

Vents are the originals, steering wheel cover is in the plans.
