Done. I just took mine off. Some goo gone and wood sticks took pretty much all the sticky stuff and a quick light buff with rubbing compound and all is smooth. Looks waaaaayyy better without it. And about closing the hatch - there are two catches and they are not in the middle. I always pres on them with both hands at the same time, so the emblem is no use even for that.

Saw a Z on the forum without it and liked it. Thought I'd take mine off and see if I'd like it. I already had an extra just in case. It's still off, looks so much cleaner without it and it's no problem to close it without it. I went to the trouble to eliminate the Z06 antenna and filled the hole so it just completes the look. I had an opportunity to remove the front and fill the holes but decided to leave that one because I like the silver 50th emblem. Now I wish I had removed it too.

Removed mine long ago. Hated the wax build up and tooth pick cleaning all the holes and edges. The only thing that bothered me at first was the torch red paint has faded slightly but under the emblem it was unfaded. I buffed and polished it several times. Now years later you can't see the outline any more. I removed the front one and found the holes, so I bought another one and put it back on. If it wasn't for the holes it would be gone for good

No holes in back one. I replaced the old with a new one pretty quickly and it looks great all new again!

Exactly why I leave mine. Yeah, it's harder to clean, but better than a medium size hand print.

I would leave the flags, yes it is cleaner, but I like them. A side note I don't like to push from the middle of the hatch. I open a door and drop it about 3 or 4 inches from closing locks all the time.

You fools have me wavering on my decision to leave it now. I'm tempted to go pull it off!

Pull it. Its not like people don't know what just passed them anyway. Besides, you have a foot long "banner" on the rear bumper that spells it out for anyone. When I repainted my C4 10 years ago, I had not only the holes from the emblems filled, but also the tettering on the rear bumper. It looked great and still no one ever accused me of driving a Mustang.
