Battery Issue, please help...
Guys,
I put a new battery in my car back in December. I drove the car in January once, and I went this weekend to drive the car and the battery was stone dead. I went to put the battery tender plus on the car and the light keeps telling me it isn't connected properly.
Someone please help, what should/can I do?

A little update. I figured what the heck, and I used a jump box to jump the car and then took it for a 40 minute ride. When I came back I put the battery tender on it and the red light was no longer flashing! So, maybe it was too dead to register, my jump box said the battery only had 2.1 volts... I wish winter in the NE hasn't been so bad, I just don't like to leave the battery tender plugged in all the time.

I used one of the floater chargers on my tundra and vette with no problems but I hooked one to my zero turn mover and the red light came on as it should and I checked it a week later and the battery was completely dead not even a red light. I swapped out the one on the tundra to the mower and it did the same thing. Could it be the mower battery is <than 4 volts? I charged the battery and it cranks OK but it didn't like the floater charger.

What's wrong with leaving it on the battery tender when your not using it? I hook mine up anytime it's in the garage. This cars electrical system can drain a battery pretty quick, even worse if you have added aftermarket components. Unless the car is your dd I would hook it up whenever its in the garage.

That is what I should do, call me crazy, but I get nervous about leaving it hooked up when I am not around and the car is in a detached garage from my house, so I don't usually go in their often during the winter. I realize I am nuts though, I should just leave it plugged in and never worry about it again!
I have three of them in my detached garage, leave them on, all the time..
