Default Bra in states with front plate requirement.

Put a GM bra on my '99 vert this weekend. Fits great, but only a portion of the front license plate is visible. Maryland requires a front plate, anyone have the same issue?

I bought mine from AutoAnything and it gives you an option to show your your emblem and/or your license plate. Very nice bra.

Reasonable cost as well---and fits great.

Went with the GM version because the snap studs were already installed by the previous owner.

We have a front plate requirement here in Missouri and I too run the GM bra with the clear plastic panel to show a portion of the plate. I ran the same setup on my '00 and was stopped once by a SHP who did not think I had was showing enough of the front plate to comply with the law. Just gave me a warning, but I subsequently went and had an upholstery shop enlarge the clear plastic area to show the entire plate.

On my '03, I have just been running the stock GM bra and so far (4+ years), have not been stopped for the front plate visibility issue (or stopped for any other issue for that matter).

My advice is run the front plate behind the GM bra and go from there.

On the GM bra, you're supposed to cut out the clear plastic piece and slip the plate through the hole revealing the whole plate. Not many do, but you can if you're worried about it.

The upholstery idea is interesting, I think i'll check into that.

Really? It doesn't look to be anywhere near big enough, but I'll check it out.
