Default What did you do to your C5 today?

I polished my Z06 wheels which await new rubber. Weather was nice enough here in Knoxville today that allowed me some garage time.

Still too flippin' cold here, I lifted a corner of the cover for the first time this winter. It's still there!

Opened the garage door to make sure that it was still there waiting for some nice weather. Been the winter from hell this year.

Drove it, but it's dirty. Lots of rain the past week.. Since I can't do the exterior this week (usually clean it once per week if possible) I plan to clean the interior after dinner. The microfibers are in the dryer now.

I went in the garage and saw the car sleeping under its cover. Roads are too messy to do much else. Going to wax the car soon though in prep for getting it out on the road again.

The wheels look great. Were they the '04 commemorative wheels or did you start with the painted ones?

If they were the painted ones let us know the steps you took, how long it took, etc. I have a set of '02 Speedline's and have been thinking of polishing them too.

They were the original polished wheels I got from a forum member here. He used them on his race Vette. I got a good deal on them but spent 4 hours today getting them back to where they were before. They are polished and looking great now. I'm ordering tires this week. So, hopefully by the first of March I'll have the new shoes on.

I plan to lower it in the front and rear on the stock bolts. Then install the new wheels and tires with a new alignment.

The weather has just been terrible here the past few months. I have been itching to get some garage time with the 'vert!

Drove 150 miles round trip to a Corvette BBQ (outdoors)!

That's why we live in Arizona.
