I never wear polarized as I can't see the HUD or my phone. Tried many types as here in Florida they are on most of the time. Currently sporting the traditional Charge style by Electric in Matte Black frame and grey/black lens.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I spoke to the owner of Corvette Eyewear again this morning and decided to try his 300 Rx line. Btw, I found out he is a CF member and has one sweet ride, check it out http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...e-at-last.html. We discussed polarized vs non and I decided to go polarized because I will wear them for all occasions, not just driving. I have polarized lenses now and agree it dims the HUD somewhat, but not a deal breaker for me.

Having the C5 logo is just another way of personalizing my glasses, just like many of us do with our cars. I've decided to "come out" and admit that I'm a Corvette junkie. I love anything that has to do with vettes, started as a kid and then when I purchased my brand new '72 at 18.

It's always nice when a stranger comes up and starts talking about vettes because I happen to be wearing my C5 jacket, or shirt, or hat... No, I don't have the socks or shoes or underwear..yet But soon, I'll have glasses that will show my pride in owning one of these things. I agree its not for everyone, but that's what makes us different.

I will give an unbiased review of the glasses if anyone else happens to be interested. I believe Jack will stand behind his products and, as a vette owner and member here, has a better understanding of the quality we expect.

Don't forget to consider the UV rating. Cheap glasses don't offer much protection.

I've been wearing Ray Bans for the past 10-15 years. Had my first set a few years, dropped them one day and scratched a lens. Heard a rumor about Ray Bans replacement policy and decide to give it a try. A quick phone call confirmed I could send them in with a $12.50 processing fee and they would evaluate the repair costs. I did just that.

I recieved a new pair of glasses about two weeks later. The only cost was the $12.50.

I'd love to get a great pair of sunglasses. Unfortunately I either A - sit on them, B - lose them or C - scratch the lenses.
I think the longest I've ever owned a pair lasted 2 years.

I love my Maui Jim's. Have four pairs and at least two of them are ten years old. One of the great things about them is if you scratch a lens, break them, ect. You can send them to Maui Jim for repairs...

But you guys are forgetting the most important aspect: "C5" branded sunglasses are dyno proven to add 25 rwhp, right up there with the mega horsepower adding hood seal.

Interesting video, almost all glasses are made and/or owned by one Italian company...including Ray-Bans and Oakelys
