The other six vehicles were owned by the National Corvette Museum including:
•1962 Black Corvette
•1984 PPG Pace Car
•1992 White 1 Millionth Corvette
•1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette
•2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette
•2009 White 1.5 Millionth Corvette

There are 257 sinkholes in a one-mile radius of the museum. (See: http://www.plotscan.com)
If anything, I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.

"Bowling Green...sits in the midst of Kentucky’s Western Pennyroyal area, where many of the state’s longest and deepest caves run underground, according to The Associated Press."
Spelunking and cars do not mix.

Museum is right in the front yard of The Mammoth Cave system and a lot of the cave is still uncharted. I live only 88 miles from the museum and there are hundreds of sink holes in my home county. In fact right in my own backyard there is a low area that was found to be the top of a cave area when the neighbor built her house many years ago. This has shaken me so badly I just reviewed my home insurance policy for subsidence coverage and tomorrow I'm going to increase my insurance.

Sad news indeed. Going to be interesting to hear what they say about the rest of the museum building when they get finished with their inspection.

Precisely what I was thinking. The concerns about the Motorsports park and the museum are insignificant when compared to the factory. If it was lost, would GM rebuild, and if so where. Maybe they could share the Tesla facilty in Fremont, CA. Being in Anaheim, I bet you could think of a ready-made location in SoCal.
