Default C5 Corvette Airaid High Flow Air Filter

C5 Corvette Airaid High Flow Air Filter

Southern Car Parts price $174.90.

Available here: http://www.southerncarparts.com/corv...er-p-5883.html

AIRAID now offers an upgrade over the cheesy stock intake box used on 1997-2004 Chevrolet C5 Corvettes with new performance Filter Assembly. This new product replaces the restrictive factory airbox with an open element performance filter and adapter housing that is designed to optimize airflow.

The AIRAID Filter Assembly consists of a massive air filter, which flows over 1600-cfm and can support power levels from stock all the way up to 800 horsepower! The filter is available with a traditional oiled filter or AIRAID SynthaMax dry filter material in either red or blue. Developed specifi cally for the unique induction needs of Corvettes, the fi lter is shaped to provide maximum unrestricted airflow while accommodating the specific clearance needs of Corvettes. A specially molded fi lter adapter connects the AIRAID filter to the MAF sensor and the rest of the factory intake system. The adapter has provisions to accept all factory breathers and sensors, making the filter upgrade a simple bolt-on procedure for all C5s.

The AIRAID C5 Corvette Filter Assembly includes all the necessary hardware along with complete installation instructions. No drilling or trimming is necessary, and the system works with the factory tuning. Like the rest of the AIRAID product line, this performance Filter Assembly is Made in the USA

Available in red or blue. FREE SHIPPING on this item!

Well gee, the thread posted was for the Airaid, kinda thought a no brainer which one I was inquiring about as a complete unit with air bridge. But since it is not, how about a price for a complete Airaid CAI with air bridge?

I thought I would check out that very same thing (Airaid intake system), but your site only shows the filter head in red or blue, no choice for oiled or dry or full intake system. What am I missing?

I only see a choice between red and blue, filter only, no indication if it's oiled or dry, and no complete system with airbridge etc.
Steer me if I'm missing something please.

Trying to chose between filter types. What are the pros and cons of a traditional oiled filter vs the AIRAID SynthaMax dry filter material.

Really, you'll get the same performance. Some guys like oiled to take it out and clean it. But for me, I like the dry - set it and forget it...

Do you have to cut out the radiator shroud in order for this to fit like the other brands?

No cutting required. This is a drop in filter intake.

I know you answered this, but I want to be clear. Your saying it DOES come with a CARB sticker for California Smog correct? It's useless without a valid sticker.
