Tire size for the front rims

Tire size for the front rims
I have z06 reps in 18x9.5 for the front and 18x10 in the rear
I have 305/35 for the rear that fit perfectly but I'm not sure if my 285/35s nitro streets will fit well in the front
So my question is has anyone ran a 285 up front if so how do you like it?
Any help would be great! thanks

The one guy runs 18x10.5 Speedlines at all 4 corners and is running 295/35's in the rear and 275/35's up front.

You don't say what the profile of the 305 is so I will guess it is 35 and not 30.
The Overall diameter of the 305/35-18 tire is about 26.3" and the overall diameter of the 285/35-18 tire is about 25.9". The difference is about 0.4". The recommended delta in rear tire overall diameter to front tire overall diameter to avoid TC issues is 1/2" to 1 1/2" larger rears.
While you might get away with the 285/35-18 front and 305/35-18 pairing initially, you may have TC issues down the road when the rears begin to wear. For some as yet unknown reason the rear tires on a C5 wear faster than the front tires.
The 275/35-18 is perhaps a better choice for fronts since it's overall diameter is 25.6" giving a delta of about 0.7" which should be adequate to avoid TC issues.
Some members have reported not having issues with TC with all 4 tires the same size but most report issues once you go below a delta of 1/2". If you do have TC issues you can get around them by turning off TC every time you start the car.
As always YMMV.

Thanks for the response! i fixed my original post and added that its a 305/35 M/T ET street radial for the rear and a 285/35 nitro street tire. i will have traction control off for most of the time anyways! My concern was is the 285 would poke out to much up front. i don't think it will but just wanted to be sure.
