Just like C4's, the C5 takes air in from underneath the front of the car at the air dam. This inlet area is for both cooling and engine air. If that opening gets blocked, you will have overheating issues if the car doesn't first stall from lack of air.

And of course wide tires don't really help a lot for traction. It gets worse when there is ice on the top of the snowpacked roads.

A Subi 4WD would be a good snow rig as would a 4x4 pickup. If you have the ability to get one now, you may be a whole lot better off. Especially if you encounter some idiot who can't drive in snow and he hits your C5.

That's a nightmare! I'll make sure I clean out under there as well. Wider tires and a supercharged c5 don't mix well with any sloppy surface

Nah, not really.

My Z06 handles very well and certainly not any worse than my S-Type Jag on hard compacted snow.

Hopefully they will be kind when they plow the parking lot and not pile a bunch of snow around your Corvette. Sounds like it may be there for a while. Good luck. We got more snow than predicted here in KY and it arrived earlier as well.

They snow will not hurt your Vette. I drive mine all the time in the snow as long as it is not too deep. Traction control works well in the snow. My 911 was 4 wheel drive which was great in the snow but I have to say I am impressed with my Vette in the snow.

I've driven my car in about a 1/4 inch of snow and it wasn't bad at all. But 2 -4 inches is not good.

The picture at that particular moment it just a dusting and not to serious. Now, any time I take either the Vette or moto out I check the weather and if there is any mention of possible bad weather I just put it off. Have I been stuck in the snow? You bet, but that was when the snow was past the mirrors I must mention I no longer need to worry about snow here in the Bay Area :-)

You were tricked by the weather forecasters weren't you? Happens here all the time and that's why I never drive mine even if I think it might snow or rain.

Talk to them . Not a big deal to plow around car for you. Buy some coffee and doughnuts for the guy. At least it's parked safely. Wait out the weather till your comfortable moving car.

I've never been stuck in the snow with the Vette mainly because if the forecast calls for snow, the car stays in the garage. Weather predictions are seldom correct.

It would be new to my Vette! Like I said, it can see the snow thru the garage windows...if it can see thru the cover!
