Default How loud are flowmasters with headers ?

I had the billy boat on my car when I purchased it, but I had enough of this exhaust as it was too loud and my neighbours can hear me coming from 5 blocks away ( they sure sounded great !!), I took them off and bought a set of factory ones from a guy online , this is just temporarily as I am shopping for a performance exhaust, my car has a cat back system with Kooks headers and x pipe ( not sure if the x pipe if factory or not) anyways I had magnaflows on my previous
99 few years ago and they were ok but im thinking going flowmasters now and wondering if they are going to be loud at idle and below 1500 rpm's!! I'm looking for something quite at idle but sounds nice at wot that works with my set up which is headers, blackwing intake etc.
Thanks ...

I like the burble sound that Flowmasters give at idle. The price is a little better than the others too.

Have you considered the B&B Route 66? I have it and love it, it's got the rumble at low speed and really sounds off @ wot.

Might want to find a car that has Flowmasters installed and go for a ride in it. Some of these mufflers produce a lot of interior resonance.

I have the Corsa Indy Pace Car system on my supercharged '02 and it's surprisingly quiet at cruise speeds and no interior resonance at all. At WOT it is LOUD

define loud?

I have the flowmaster set up. I like it because it has a more oldschool sound that an exotic sound like the others.

I can talk in the car at all speeds but you can hear the pipes.

I had BB PRT and these Flowmasters are quieter than that. Not a lot but some

Flowmasters are cheap for a reason, they're junk. I had a set and they rotted out. Sounds nice but they're cheap junk IMHO.

I've always thought of flowmaster as the cheap mans way out. They are not exactly great at the "flow" they boast either, and as mentioned, if you are going to see a system rot, it will be a flowmaster. I don't advocate spending big money on a corsa etc. (Its just mufflers) but maybe something better than the flowmasters...

BB PRTs is the way to go. Have them behind LG Long tubes with x pipe mild at idle and cruse very aggressive at WOT.
