Thank you for all of the support everyone! The Pfadt inverted coilovers have several advantages over other brands of coilovers. Here is a good starting point if you choose to research Pfadt:

MADE IN THE USA

INVERTED DESIGN: Placing the majority of the mass on the sprung side of the chassis allows the control arms and outboard components to react quicker and easier without the additional weight of the coilover itself. The result is a suspension system that responds faster to changes in the road whether its highway, local roads, or track surfaces. The less weight that is on that outboard suspension, the better your car will behave - you'll have a better connection between your Corvette chassis and the ground. Make sure your next set of coilovers are inverted.

LIGHTWEIGHT, HIGH STRENGTH MATERIALS: Gone are the days when coilovers need to be made of corrosive steel components. The Feather Light Generation SAs are an all aircraft aluminum body which boasts high strength and very low weight. With the body and spring perch being manufactured out of anodized high-strength aluminum, you no longer have to worry about corrosion locking the two together. The materials in the new SAs allow pain-free height adjustability with ease with our threaded body. All non-aluminum components (upper mounting stud, lower mount mono-ball) are treated with corrosion-eliminating processes such as chroming, heat treating or using stainless steel. Don’t settle for heavy steel components.

BOA MOUNT, THE NEW STANDARD IN CORVETTE SHOCK UPPER MOUNTING: An idea taken directly from its much more expensive bigger brother, the Feather Light Generation DA; the new BOA mount is a no-compromises solution to Corvette shock upper mounts. Our mount is a zero-maintenance, completely sealed design that allows the FULL articulation required for the Corvette suspension. A common problem in coilover mounting for the Corvette is how to effectively mount the upper shock to the chassis without losing much shock travel and articulation. Common solutions are a clevis design that severely limits shock travel and will effect ride quality, and a “pin top” design that relies on compliance in consumable rubber bushings to deflect and bind the shock, creating an unsealed mount needing eventual replacement. The BOA MOUNT suffers none of these shortcomings as it is a solid mount similar to a control arm ball joint (quiet, durable, maintenance free), that is locked in place and then articulates with the suspension utilizing a low friction internal monoball that is sealed from the exterior elements. On top of all of this, the installation procedure could not be any easier. A simple easy to torque washer and nut retain the whole assembly. If your coilover doesn’t have the BOA mount, be aware of the potential future problems. Take a look at the video to see the new BOA MOUNT in action!

THE CIRC SYSTEM, A REVOLUTION IN REMOTE CANISTERS: A premium feature on the SAs that is unique to Pfadt is the CIRC (Concentric Integrated Remote Canister) System. The idea behind this innovation is to implement a standard racing concept - the remote reservoir - in a lightweight, easy to install package. We integrate the remote reservoir with the shock to maximize suspension stroke for a very smooth ride on the street. The CIRC more than triples the gas volume over a standard coil over. Accomplishing this was no small feat because the remote canister is actual mounted radially AROUND the shock body itself. The result: a large gas volume that keeps the shock operation consistent over a wide temperature range and throughout the stroke. The bottom line: Consistency and performance over the life of the shock. This system permits the entire shaft/piston assembly to operate quickly, efficiently, and last a VERY long time as wear is at a minimum. Get the most advanced racing remote canister on the market for your street suspension. Anything less is a compromise in ride quality. Take a look at the following illustration to see how we package the upper BOA MOUNT and CIRC SYSTEM for maximum shock travel and extreme lowering.

EASY ONE-STEP RIDE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT: We make ride height adjustments easy to give you the ultimate control in setting your ride height and corner balancing your car. Included in our coilover kit is the single tool that you need to adjust the perch and tighten the set screw to lock the perch in location. Very simple, strong, and reliable. This single perch adjustment is a result of having ALL of the suspension travel required for the Corvette built into the shock body, since features like the BOA MOUNT and CIRC SYSTEM are used to maximize travel and stroke. Any other design is forced to limit the travel range. Our design is the most optimum for the Corvette and will deliver repeatable results time and time again.

FLOATING PISTON INTERNAL DESIGN: The most effective internal design for a performance shock that needs to last a lifetime of street use is the floating piston design, or “non emulsion” design. This design separates the oil volume from the gas volume and allows each to operate consistently despite changes in external conditions. In a standard emulsion shock, the oil and gas are free to mix together and can result in inconsistent performance when operating at low speeds and high speeds respectively. This is not good for the operation of the shock, as inconsistent performance correlates to inconsistent control of your Corvette’s wheels and suspension. Enter the “floating piston” style that isolates the two volumes and moves freely within the shock cylinder. Our floating piston design utilized in the Feather Light Generation SAs will keep your Corvette's suspension predicable and controllable for a precise feeling on the street and track. GM’s Z06 and Z51 shocks don’t have oil and gas compromises, neither should your coilovers. Be sure to run floating piston shocks on your Corvette. Take a look at the diagram to see how the designs differ.

SIMPLE AND ACCESSIBLE DAMPING ADJUSTMENT:
Have you had a hard time adjusting your current dampers because the adjuster is at the top of the shock, hindering your ability to make quick changes from street to track? That will not be a concern for users of the Feather Light Generation SAs because of the inverted design, which places the adjuster on the bottom of the shock in an easy to access location. No special tools are required, and no “adapters” that can frequently break are necessary. All that is required is your hand to grasp the easy-touch rotary **** on the bottom of the shock and dial in your setting with a precise and repeatable feel. The shock adjuster will adjust compression and rebound in one device, so you will not need to be an expert to keep both dialed in at all times. Up front you will feel 40 distinguishable settings with the rear having 30. The adjustment range encompasses soft to stiff valving for customers wanting to fine tune their ride quality or race track set up. The valving in this system will allow you to run very comfortably on the street and then increase the damping for track use if needed, or even higher to accommodate custom spring rates that you spec for your specific Corvette. There will be no guesswork in where to dial in the suspension as we provide a comprehensive tuning guide with the coilovers. When you purchase a Pfadt Feather Light Generation coilover, your purchase doesn’t end at the sale. We are here to continue helping you with our entire package of set-up documents and technical help online and via phone. We help you use your new products effectively to get the results you want. Don’t settle for a company that doesn't.

DURABILITY: As part of Pfadt Race Engineering’s ongoing effort to support the Corvette community with the best and most advanced chassis and suspension products, the Feather Light Generation series of coilovers (SAs and DAs) are the pinnacle of street performance, track results, and unbelievable reliability. Part of our evaluation for these coilovers has been our in-house, Pfadt-designed, DAMPER DURABILITY RIG. We have run all versions of current coilovers through rigorous testing on this machine for weeks which simulates tens of thousands of miles and literally millions of cycles. Being able to control the testing allows us to test at worst case scenario forces and articulation angles. We've also track tested and street tested the SAs to cover the complete set of circumstances. Take a look at the video below and get and idea of what a Pfadt coilover goes through to qualify it as suitable for a Corvette installation.

Overall, the idea of moving to a Corvette Coilover suspension is going to give you a huge leg up on other Corvettes in terms of handling and street drive-ability. Removing the transverse leaf spring and OEM shocks will yield a true independent suspension which eliminates any “crosstalk” and harsh ride that the OEM suspension is known for. Not only will this solve any unwanted driving characteristics, but it will also give you the ability to tailor your Corvette’s ride to your specific taste with a large range of ride height and damping adjustments. Whether you want a stiff ride that is nice and low, or a soft ride that is comfortable and at stock ride height, our Feather Lights will accommodate all of the possibilities. If you get a new set of wheels and need to adjust to accommodate the new sizes: no problem. Your new stance is just a quick turn of the spring perch away.

Give us a call today to discuss the specifics of our new Single Adjustable coilovers and how they can transform your Corvette into a predicable, precise handling machine on the street and track. We have relied on over 5 years of Corvette coilover experience to now showcase all of the data we have collected and optimized for this design. Engineered and tested in Utah, made in North America, take advantage of our hard work on your Corvette and reap the benefits.

OK. I get it. Pfadt and LG are the best options. They bring race derived technology, superior blah, blah , blah.....
I would love to have the absolute best of everything. But then I probably would not drive a C5 to begin with. The truth is that 80% of Corvette owners do not have the skills to explore the limits on a lot of parts bolted to their rides, just because someone told them "it is the best".
So, can we please have an objective review of what is out there on the market, what does it cost and what do you get for your money?
There are people like me, I am sure, whose life actually does not revolve around their car and still hang on here. For us there are a lot of other options than Pfadt, but in my case I don't know much about them.
QA1.....what about them? I understand that when put in a 6 hour race at Nurburgring Pfadt would be the better choice. But what about folks like me, who like their car to handle better than stock on our way to the icecream shop? The main reason I am giving the AQ1 as an example is, because they cost brand new, few hundred dollars less than a used LGs and the Pfadts are even more. If you don't race your car do you really need more than what QA1 offers? and then there are the different preloads on springs. 450, 550, 650....What compares to what?
This has the potencial to be a great thread, which can be very helpful to a novice, looking to improve their ride. However, it turned into an advertizement for one company.

Even though I don't have coilovers on my c5z, I'm in the market to find a right set.

I had Stance Coilovers for more than 4 years on my previous car 350z and Im satisfied with the price & quality.

Obviously, If I'm going to spend $700~1000 more than Stance coils, those have to have significant improvement over Stance coils such as inverted design, easier adjustment, higher quality, etc

Well said.
I made my decisions based upon reading, searching, reading .........
The $$$ were only one factor, however for me I wanted a quality product, well proven. I do not an never will track my C5. That said I want good quality accessories fitted to my car.
Some threads favor Pfadt, some LG. Hard to find quality information for QA1's and STANCE. Due to those reasons I stuck with a choice between the two most discussed coil over brands on the forum. Yes there are other high performance brands available and with pricing of $5k plus, was not even a consideration for me.
Is the Pfadt worth the extra $300 or so more than LG's I cannot say. Is Pfadt a little "prouder" of their product and charge more, I cannot say?
Both from my research reveal that they are good products and were in the price range I was comfortable in.
Have only had about 1200 miles with my LG's. So far very impressed, the ride between coil over and std suspension is night and day be better with the coil overs. I think had I gone the Pfadt route, I would be just as happy.

To those looking at coil overs for street use, and the odd bit of spirited driving in a safe environment - Road America or whatever, is definitely the. Way to go!! IMHO

So go out and buy one of the less expensive brands and post your results. Don't be upset that there hasn't been an opinion given on the brand that you're shopping for.

I am not shopping for any particular brand and I am not really upset.
The point I am trying to make is that this is supposed to be a COMPARISON. English is not my first language and maybe I got the definition of Comparison wrong. But I always thought that a comparison is when we look at few different things and point their pluses and minuses.
I have no problem anyone bragging about how great their $#it is. Just tell us why do you feel this way. For example: "I use my car for fun on twisty roads and once a month I take it to the track/autocross/ strip. Because of this I wanted something that brand X did not have in their product and this is why I went with brand Y, which offer so and so. To me that was worth it the extra $XXX". Instead we have already two pages of "Brand X rocks", "I love my ride", "I thought going with Y but end up with Z". This is not a comparison. It provides no info.
Here is the example with me. I don't NEED coils. For the way I use my car, everyone is telling me that I should just go with new C6Z06 shocks and springs from a 5Z. I WANT coils. Not for bragging rights or to shave milliseconds on the autocross course. Just because I want to lower my car without sacrificing ride quality. So do I need dual adjustability? No. Will I play with the settings? Once I find one I like, probably never. So can I fork out the money for the Pfadts? Yes. If something half the price would give me the same results for my purpose, then I will use it. But I can not make an educated decision based on "dude, I love the new ride of my car, even tho I never compared it to any other brand".
The idea of a comparison is to give opportunity to people to learn from others experience by bringing out the weaknesses and pointing out the strong points in two or more subjects.
So, can someone give some useful information on the subject, so we can really COMPARE the different shocks. What is the weight difference? Warranty difference? Price difference? Ride, adjustability, longevity, issues of one shock compared to another...etc,etc.

As matter of fact you sound angry and have entitlement issues, people are obviously going to show their bias for the coilovers installed on their cars, it's up to you to see thru the hype and pick the one you think is right for you then post your own review.

I am not angry at all. Also I am not sure how my text sounds...Anyway, I agree with what you are saying. But see? The problem is that I can not see thru the hipe and pick one, because all the hype is pretty much only about one, barely two products. And the info about them relative to one another is zero.
Sorry about coming across angry or entitled to something. It is the way I speak. But I was hoping that from the thousands of Corvette owners on here, some with impressive experience and knowledge, there could be found say, 6 guys that tried six different products and gave honest opinions about them. Just so the next guy could decide what's best for him. The only thing I got out of this thread so far was....well...uhhh, there are some people that like what they bought...
Sorry again for being blunt.

I don't see why there are folks being negative. Your wording is perfectly clear.
It would be awesome if there was a multi product comparison between three, four or five products out there, unfortunately there isn't.
Makes it much harder to choose.
If you don't have a group of associates, buddies, or whomever you can ask questions and receive first hand knowledge you then have to try and get a feeling from the various opinions from the forum.
The forum has been incredibly helpful for me over the past years, as it has for many others like mine
Wish you good luck on your research, please post up which way you go and your findings and reason for your choice. Is always good to learn about the other products out there.

mrm13, I for one cannot afford to try 6 different coilovers and compare
one to another (it's not like trying on 6 different pairs of socks) I took the word of a respected member of C/F and purchased that product (GT2's) am very happy with my choice, my son also has a Z06 and he purchased Stance coilovers and he's happy with his choice because price was a issue for him. We do not track our cars. Depending on your own needs the choice is yours to make. I don't think there is a bad choice amongst the products mentioned on this thread. Good Luck

Yes you can try all of them, you just have to find forum members who are willing to give you a ride in their cars that have pfadt,LG, Stance etc. Thats what I did when I decided on Pfadt. It better than reading facts, hands on experience always works for me. Good luck Also up Added C6Z51 sways, medal links, CCWSP500

I had my Pfadt's on for well over a year before I had my car "professionally" aligned and shocks adjusted. I had it done twice before at nationally known tire place with less than positive results. I finally ended up taking it to a local place that road races Corvettes and the difference was amazing. My shock adjustments were way out of whack, the car wasn't level, and it was out of alignment. I can't believe the difference and my car handles like a dream.

How exactly are you contributing to the post? Nobody is saying "I like mine because they are red" "love mine because they are orange" as you make it sound... It is no different than different styles of wheels, exhaust, etc... some like CCW, some HRE, Fikse, etc... Borla,Corsa,

How about instead of coming in here bashing some of the guys personal experience with their particular brand, go to the AutoX section and educate yourself!

Pfadt chimed in with a detailed description regarding their product.. did you miss that..?

I personally like mine because of the stance, the ride, and the overall ability to FEEL my car as I am entering, coming out of turns and because I have money to spend... You come across as angry, opinionated to me too... although texting, typing is impersonal.. No feeling... I Wonder how I am coming across to you....

to the OP.... Go to the autox section, or simply type in Pfadt coilovers, vs LG or DRM or QA1.... Or ride with someone who has em... just my .02

There are people like me, I am sure, whose life actually does not revolve around their car and still hang on here. ....
Honestly I would invest in a swaybar/shock combo if the goal is to stay economical. Just throwing coilovers on your car won't be an improvement unless the valving/shock travel/spring rates and other features are designed around the Corvettes suspension geometry. It could actually be a downgrade.

What I can say, is that well balanced set of quality sway bars (and good tires!) are some of the best mods that you can do for a C5. With those two things you should notice an incredible increase in handling, and do so without breaking the bank. If you want to make further improvements, you can look at adding an ungraded shock or coilover. Please feel free to reach out to us any time if you have questions!

I purchased my SA Pfadt c/o based on much of the reading I did on this forum. What was important to me was quality, ease of adjustment and performance. Lastly but still important was money. I like the fact that the SA Pfadts are mounted with the weight unsprung. I also liked the dampening adjustments being easy to reach as I wasn't too keen on having to drill a spot in my trunk and I could never get comfortable with the cable hanging out from the top of the shock. Another feature that I liked was the ride height adjustability. I didn't need a crazy spanner to adjust the ride height. It is a simple "rod" that even if I don't have it on me I can adjust with something of similar size. Not that I go adjusting the ride height all the time, but I do change wheels every now and again and keeping up with a specific spanner is not a good idea when three kids are running around one's house.
The install was easy as I did it on jack stands in my garage. I would highly recommend having the car aligned and corner balanced after the install.
I certainly hope that helps someone a bit. I think there are nicer c/os out there and there are certainly less expensive ones, but for me the Pfadts fit the need and "wants" that I have.

I understand some of the frustration here, but if you look at the OP, it does request peoples' opinions about their experiences, as though anticipating that there will not be many people who can compare to anything other than stock. It sounds a little like the OP actually intends to create and document the comparison, based on what he learns.

If it's any help, I also briefly drove a C6 with what was described to me as either a Z51 option, or C6Z06 suspension. I thought it was noticeably better than my stock suspension in terms of being better damped and not unduly harsh. I didn't drive it long enough, nor recently enough, nor have I driven my Pfadt enough, to compare the C6 and the PFadt.

I originally thought I might want to stiffen my Pfadt. Driving it more, I don't think I want to. It really depends on where you take the car, of course. But that's the thing: with what I have, I can adjust it (relatively easily). With the C6/Z06 parts package that is so popular, you've got what you've got, though I'm sure for a large majority of users it is a solid improvement.

That's easier said than done in my local.
