Default No, I'm not Buying Seats Again-Thought I'd Start this conversation though...Corbeau

I know when I was trying to replace my seats I did a lot of looking at Corbeau seats.

Anyone else notice the new stuff from Corbeau? Anyone know if any of the new seats will fit?

Any vendors do any test fitting? I'm sure multiple members would want to know if you can cram these in a C5. LOL

Sportline RRB

Sportline RRS (This actually reminds me of the competition seat in the C7)

There are a few others too: http://www.corbeau.com/products/

They look nicer than the A4. Fitment is a function of overall width. According to the Corbeau site these are both 20" wide. They might work; but will be tight. If I had not already installed Mitsubishi Recaro Evo 9 seats (which I like very much) I might go for a set of these Corbeaus, but don't buy without checking dimensions carefully.

evolution recaros are night and day better than corbeau

my biggest gripe with corbeau is how shoddy the craftsmanship is, well that and they get the spinal curvature completely wrong on the seat backs

The dimensions of the seats seem very close. A half inch wider and taller.

I just spoke to Corbeau and none of the new Sportline seats will fit or work.

I have not sat in the Evo 9 seats, but a buddy has an Evo 8 and I wasn't that impressed with his OE Recaros. I still say my 94 C4 sport seats were nicer than the C5. The A4 is ok, but I know there has to be something better. The Recaro Highline SPort (Same as Evo?) is the front runner currently, but I have a lot of OE seats to look at still.

Well, I just got back a pair of Evo 8s from the upholsterer, and I'm all sorts of jazzed. I had them redone in light oak leather and find them quite comfortable just sitting in them. I won't be able to install them until next Spring because my car is in storage, though. These seats are much heavier duty than the stock seats. The Recaros are about the same weight (manual sliders) as the electric stock seats.

It seems they are the manual version of the Recaro Sport, but I haven't compared them side by side. Not saying it was a bad seat, guess I just had higher expectations.

I LOVE my car, but have never been 100% comfortable. LOL

The used APSIS seats I have now have me at about 80-90% comfortable.

And would anybody have said something about this if I had not started this thread....no....your welcome.

Please post some pictures. Light oak leather should look great in your car. My Evo 9's are installed on the power tracks; it took some work but was worth it to me.

Not really sure, rumor has it it will be a fixed seat.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Out of the subject but if those C7 competition seats were to fit in our C5's i'd jump on them quick.

I too would like to see if the C7 seats would work. I haven't sat in them, yet but they look very nice. I know my little brothers C6 seats would work and are very nice as well. I was surprised at how nice the Scion FR-S seats were. I didn't drive it, just sat in the showroom.
