Default Battery and Fuse Box surround shroud question

Ive been looking for a rattle on my passenger side; well in checking loose pieces of plastic throughout, I noticed the plastic shroud around the battery and fuse box is loose. On the top nearest to the windshield, there is a metal bracket with one hole in the end and it's not attached to anything. I looked for a mounting spot but didn't find one. The nearest attachment I saw is one of those plastic rivets but it doesn't look like it's made for the metal shroud bracket.
Anyone know where this bracket is supposed to be attached?

A pic would help, but it sounds like the bracket you describe connects between the firewall and the hood release/bump stop at the inner fender. A stud protrudes from the firewall and a screw attaches to the release.

I'll snap a picture of it. That should help a lot. Standby

This is the bracket and area I was asking about. The zip tie was just a temporary fix while looking for my right side rattle. I can't find a hole where this bracket is supposed to attach to.

Now that I'm looking at it in the pictures...looks like it's supposed be attached to that pop rivit in the wiper/body area? maybe?

Figured out it does attach to the body with a plastic pop rivet; however, apparently after trying to re-rivet it with existing rivet, it wouldn't stay on. So... I replaced the pop rivet with a small bolt and washers. It's not coming lose now!

That piece attaches with the push pin that holds down the wiper cowl (I believe it is the second pin from the passenger side). When I installed my painted cowl, I found that bracket loose and it lines up perfectly with the hole in the cowl that the push pin goes through.

Yup....you're right. It just wouldn't stay on with the old push pin any longer. So I put a small diameter bolt that fits. Works great. Might replace all the push pins with small bolts now and locktite them.
I have seen the carbon fiber one....that's on my dream list too!
