I think all the forums are chatting a bit about the new ride. Not like it happens every year!

Why not spread the love, or in some cases hate!

While this is the C5 Gen side of the house, some talk about the new guy on the block is OK by me. Especially if there are some comparisons between the C5 and C7.

Yea, I'm for all the talk about how the interior(C7) makes the C6/C5 interiors look like they were carved out of stone with rocks and chisels. I saw a post on the C7 side that showed the interior pics of a C4 next to the C7 one and it looked very similar in the cockpit design and layout...go figure?

Now if all they got to rant about is the interior....that says very little about the C7, or the extra 28 hp it has or the no mention of how much weight it gained. Another thing is the tires..... I bet they will cost a FORTUNE!

Shakespeare said "All comparisons are odious" but in the case of comparing C5s and the new car I have no objections either.

The hoopla will die down soon enough! Of course then the car show picture album threads will start having C7 shots... as well as C1,2... you get the idea.

If it bothers you that much just don't open the thread or close it after you see it is about a C7, I myself likes to read about the C7, It isn't everyday GM hits a home run like the C7 in my opinion.

You should have seen it before the unveiling. I think the moderators were so sick of moving C7 related threads to the C7 section they just let them be.

I've felt it's good "sportsmanship" (for lack of a better word) to allow talk across generations. After all - we're all Corvette.

Search on how often C6 appears in a title in the C5 General section and tell me they should all be moved into the C6 section.

Now it would be different if people filled this section talking about Mustangs and Priuses (Prii?)

UPDATE: well, OK, I just did the search and was told the search terms were too short, C6, but you get the idea.

Oh, I totally understand your points. It just seems like there's selective enforcement of the "rules'. I for one am sick of all of the drooling/spitting about the C7 and wish it would just go to the C7 forum where it's expected and wanted. I suspect there are more who share this opinion but don't speak up for fear of not being popular.

Yes I know I don't have to open the posts, the point is, why should I even have to see the drivel and think about it? There is a forum for those droolers and spitters to debate their opinions if they really GAS.

Why not worry about important things?

I agree. I made a post about the C7 and it was promptly moved by the admin. Didn't particularly like it, but it's their job and I wouldn't want to take over for them. Drooling/spitting and drivel indicates your (calvins) attitude toward other peoples opinions of the C7 which is your right but hardly helpful to your position.

If we stuck strictly to the categories, we would just have which wax is best discussions and pics of James car!
