Thank you very much for the compliments on the new car!
The FRC was a stellar vehicle. Over the 8 years of ownership, the BPMV was replaced 5 years ago and this summer the ignition switch and drivers side window regulator were replaced. Long tube headers, LS6 intake and blackwing had been added and Dyno tuned at 350rwhp. Added some minor handling mods (new tunnel plate was a big bang for buck mod) and it handled like it was on the*proverbial rail.*
Now the GS is mighty nice also. There is a great deal of familiarity to it while in the cockpit. Have not it put through the paces yet but thus far it feels like there is a lot fun to be had here. The steering seems to have a "lighter/ quicker" steering and yet a very comfortable feel. The engine seems to spin up a little quicker as I've already knocked on the rev limiter in 1st one time! As mentioned, the cyber gray color is an interesting color. Depending on the light it could look blackish or have a gun metal look (there is a hint of blue in it) while other times it's seems to to have a brown hue to it.*
What I will really miss on the C5 is just how well I knew the car, inside and out and how comfortable I was with it. With the help of this forum, I felt there were no surprises and could react to any clue it gave me. I was able to take annual 2000 mile road trips with full confidence.*
I guess the new C6 will have to earn that same respect!
