Have you thought about going with a C7 style hood vent or would that be too cheesy?

Enjoying the build!

SUPER DEEP'S

I will be the only corvette in history to run these. Mainly due to the low offsets needed which most cars that aren't not mine can't fit.

I've got to say... Ive been really excited about this build since the start, because based on your original designs. This car was going to be a bad a$$ c5 racer with a custom flare. Now that it has progressed... They're right, it isn't a corvette anymore. Celica Headlights, GTR tail lights, NSX Sideskirts... Who knows what will be next. A supra engine swap?

This is what I've been saying. I appreciate his abilities but this is just another "ricer" project I have been seeing for years in the import scene. Taking one car and bondoing parts from tons of other cars on it. Its sort of a faux paux in a way. Imagine buying a C5 and putting a Ford engine in it, people would ****. This is kind of the same idea IMHO. Either way good luck with your project I just think that you could use your skills to do something really original and have a market for it.

Also why did you go with Stance Coilovers? You're spending all this money why not get LG's or Pfadts?

I love all the arm chair builders in this thread. I have never bought a vehicle and not changed something about it to make it how I like it. Parts from other cars, or parts from vendors, why does it matter? So headlights from a vendor would be ok, but parts off another car is all of a sudden "ricer"?

I could see if he was putting a 4" fart can exhaust or under car neon on it as ricer.

What makes it "no longer a Corvette" if it's rolling Corvette drivetrain? What makes a Corvette a Corvette? As soon as I put something on my Corvette that isn't on another Corvette then its no longer a Corvette?

<edit> Is that a Corvette?

There are more "ricer" corvettes on this forum owned by guys who like to call others ricers. If you have lambo doors, cheap chrome trim and all that mid america garbage, that's just as much ricer as anything.

You'd have to ask the OP as that was what he said. Or you could just read.

Would be cool if you used C7 seats, they are nice, plus I know a lot of people here are wanting to know if they will fit, modifications needed, etc.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I already know this will come out extremely beast. I do this stuff for a living and get paid to build cars that have been featured in magazines worldwide.

It blows my mind when I see people judge others, dude it's your ride, do what YOU want, as far as parts, your smart to not get screwed buying what others deem 'the best' parts, I see so many people put suspensions under cars that spend their entire life in garages, what a waste of money, very few vette owners can ever take the stock car to its limits .
Keep up the great work

So i understand the whole "ricer" thing i do.. but lambo doors is where i would have to draw the line. "ricer" s..t is usually cheap looking and cheap to buy. A nice set of "no-cut" lambo doors offered on here are like 1500 dollars for a kit.. thats how much "ricers" usually pay for there civics. Also the term "ricer" comes from japan where they mostly eat rice... Lamborghinis are manufactured in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, and cost upwards of 150,000... id hardly say that lambo doors are "ricer" style.
I plan on putting lambo doors on my vette sometime soon and i can't imagine someone would say thats a "ricer" thing to do. this forum is supposed to be a place where people can show off their talent and get praise and POSITIVE reinforcement for taking a chance to fabricate something and call it their own. This dude has a 20 g budget just to do this. until you get 20g's and the cahunas to attempt something like this then keep the negative comments to yourself and give this dude a pat on the back for being creative. I can honestly say as i have gotten older i like more of a sleeper look... if it looks like a corvette, leave it looking like a corvette and prove yourself by building a badass engine and blowing away all the "ricers" that think you got a stock car.. but thats my own opinion. i wouldn't take the same route but i appreciate someone taking a chance and experimenting and gaining experience by seeing what works and what doesn't. i think by putting himself out there, exposed to all the possible criticism is quite brave and shows that he deserves a little respect.
just sayin.................
