Anybody making the step up to a C7?

I think you're right. I have a feeling once I do finally see it up close my feelings towards it will shift, like they did when I saw the C6 up close for the first time.

Gotta buy a new house. That's where all the C7 money will go. The good news is, I won't have to sell the C5. I'm OK with that.

Beautiful car !
I'm sure it will be a great performer and an improvement over last year's base model.
I'm very happy still with my C5Z and all the modification's I have done to it over the last 9.5 yrs.
Its still a very fun car for me and I have no plans to sell anytime soon.

I really like the C7 and as mentioned will be the Corvette to own...all previous Corvette generations will be old news. I probably will own one in the future but where I live it makes little sense as it will be under a car cover for 6 months a year. May as well be my C5 undercover as it is cost effective.

I haven't even seen a new one yet and I'm only 80 miles from BG. I still like all the pics I've seen; I think it's beautiful. For all the haters out there, as my grandson says, would you take it if they gave you one? Even with the ugly tail lights, ugly chrome strip, etc.? Yeah sure you would wouldn't you?

The sharp angles remind me of the Pontiac Aztec. The Camaro lights don't get it done for me. The chrome grill looks like a $hit eating grin. But beauty is in the eye of the buyer, so if you like it, buy it. If no one buys them, they will stop building Vettes, and that would be a crime. Rod

I don't know what all of the fuss is about . I guess it is just because it is something new but new doesn't make it nicer than the C5's. Personally , it doesn't do anything for me in the coupe. Maybe in the convertible it would be a bit better.

Very nice, but I would have to win the lottery to even think about buying one.
I love my C5 and do not have any yearning pains to move to a C7, but, I haven't seen one in the flesh yet.

2016 C5 of the Year Finalist
I love everything about the C7. The C7 Z0_ will undoubtedly be The Bomb! The C7 will be my next Corvette (skipping the C6), hopefully an addition versus a replacement!

2018 C5 of Year Winner
My wife asked me the same thing when the C7 was revealed... I am not a fan of the back end but all I have seen in pictures. I DID see a few pictures that ZR1-Mike took at Carlisle that started to sway me on the looks. Then I saw someone post a picture of one wearing some HRE's and it looked fantastic.
Still having trouble diggin on that Decepticon rear end
Who knows. If I do though, I can't get rid of my C5, she's family

Sorry, but I just can't go there. A few months ago I was shopping for a very nice, low mileage C5 when I suddenly came in to a small inheritance. I decided to broaden the search because of it to very late model C6's as well as new ones. I also seriously considered putting a deposit on a C7 at the time but the design of the car just really put me off.
I'm glad I decided to stay with my original plan and got a nice C5 convertible. Regardless of the performance inherent in the newer
generations, the aesthetics of a car are of primary importance to me.
All the gingerbread hung on the C7's ruled them out for me. That stuff coupled with the Camaro style tailights just never made sense to me. I won't rule them out completely as sometimes things tend to grow on me over time. However, I really feel the C5 is a much cleaner design and, in the convertible and fixed roof coupe designs at least, the C5 has really stood the test of time.
