Default Anyone else hate the rear of the c7 ?

I hate the look of the rear of the c7. It looks like the ugly rear of the Camaro. Crap I've seen a ton of concept drawings that look way better.

I don't like the black outlines around the tail lights that angle down and out. Reminds me of the make-up on a sad clown.

You must have just come back from a long vacation . This has been talked to death ! But I do agree with you . It is not just the back end but the whole car , especially the side view of the coupe.

2014 Camaro taillights were changed... So the 2014 Stingray and 2014 Camaro are different.

It's ugly, so don't buy one. There already is an aftermarket company working on a real Corvette rear facia. So at least people won't tell you how cool looking your new Camaro looks.

There's a rumor that GM realized too late in the game how people view the new C7 and Camaro tail lights..... and threw a hail Mary pass over to the Camaro design team to abruptly change the Camaro tail lights.

It might work........except for the million Camaro's already on the streets.

I'll disagree. I think the rear is awesome, and really like the side view. It's the front that took some time, but I finally reached the point where I said Ugh! I would have liked to see a more C5 type look than a retro C1 look.
That said, I think the C7 will be another winner for GM, just like all the Vette's before it. Carry on newbie brother!

I saw one in person last Friday. I thought the rear end was the best part of the car. So did my son. When I had only looked at pics of the C7, I thought the rear was ugly.

I think the entire direction of the car misguided, with the outward styling only a signpost towards the lack of serious efforts to lead the market. True, the market used to be a lot less challenging when corvettes sold well, but I saw last years new model priced at over $100,000 the had little ghost images all over it like some boy racer with" look at me" skulls all over his newly bad *** ride. THese are the same guys and it shows.

To me it looks like someone reported back with what the young people are doing and a style group voted on design directions. With the amount of money they are asking, and the material they are using, there is no reason why they can't look as good as any other car. But they are certainly outclassed in sophistication of design by the Italians.

The new car looks like it is straight out of a Japanese cartoon and the driver should have a mischievous funny monkey riding shotgun in a vest and baseball cap.

Good thing I am not the target consumer, I really hope the car is successful.

I actually like the whole and am planning on picking up a Vert in a year or so. Will probably keep my C5 as well. Eventually I'd like to collect the whole set :-)

Debating C7 Tailights =

Personally, I love everything about the C7.

I've owned two C3s and my current C5. The C7 will be my next Corvette...hopefully along with my C5...maybe I just like odd numbers!

No sir, this new c7 is a work of art. No more cheap "leather", made with quality materials, a world class interior, and a very well thought out car. It's just a change, and it needed to happen, bigger and better things are happening. Can't fight technology, if you don't build a car with it than it just won't sell, that's just the way the world is becoming. Don't fight technology, learn it! BTW I used to have the same feelings until I looked at them more and actually tried to learn about the car, then I saw a few in person and that took the cake, THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL!

Well if everybody is lucky the C7 will flop, be declared the last corvette ever, and then you'll see your c5 values rise in value.
