They had a 600+ HP Mustang there for sale at 56K +. No thanks. Like the vette better than a stang.
I get eyeballed by the salespeople standing outside every time I go to get parts at my local Chevy dealership. The parts/service area is right next to the showroom. Half the time one of them will walk over and try to get me to trade my 2000 coupe in for a C6. I tell them that I'm perfectly happy with my coupe. If I'd wanted a C6 I'd have bought one.

Default I just priced a convertibe out

to my liking in 2LT configuration. $69,000 Wow.

I like my C5 ragtop with 19,000 miles on it a lot better now! Add the interest to it plus taxes and the C7 is an $85,000 car. I'll wait for a used one. There will be plenty of pristine , low mileage ones out there in 2-3years.

Patience pays big dollars.

Same here. It NEVER fails to get looks and comments. No one seems to know what year it is and thanks it's a new one

Not saying that I wouldn't mind having the C7 for my wife (never wanted a C6) but since mine is faster, handles as well, gets "close" to the same milage as a C7, and still looks sleek, I'm good

Id trade my c5 any day for a 662hp monster!!!
Then maybe you should. For me, I don't want to give up 190hp

Let's do the math.....

You own your C5(no car note), you spend $6000 or so for supercharger and make INSANE horsepower and smoke any stock car (including C7) that pulls next to you.

VERSUS.... Getting newer LESS powerful car that you end up owing a small fortune each month for like FOREVER?

Heck who needs a downgrade and end up in DEBT?

Add power and you'll join the darkside.

Update your car....then it isn't a relic.

I can't drive anywhere, park anywhere or do anything without someone at a red light, gas station or parking lot stopping me or thumbs upping me or asking me to lay it sideways. Add in the fact I have a supercharged LS6 screaming at the public through some BB bullets, baking off 345's out back....no one seeing my stuff as no relic...lol. Some guy the other day asked me if it was a 2012 model...lol.

I agree with Rick up above....built not bought...best way to go. I've never owned anything that stayed stock...the hell with that...

Both we and our cars are getting 'older'...

It beats the alternative.

Maybe you need to paint it an interesting color. White Vettes to me and most people are boring! I still get lots of smiles and thumbs up on my '02 silver "Z" of course the Borlas don't hurt!! Husband's JSB C6 gets "lots" of looks (and awards). Or add flames!!

I guess that would depend on the white Corvette...

There's nothing boring about that. It's getting matching racing stripes in the next month or so.

well then..

who else has those smooth and sexual curves?
who else has those awesome popups?
who else rides low and cruises in so much comfort?
who else has that unforgettable shape?

let them roll in their big barges while they sit on phone books.

i, for one, LOVE my C5. i never got the whole idea of straight line stuff in vette's. that's the least of what that car was made for IMO.

but hey, send her my way if ya don't want her anymore. i'll give her some sweet lovin.

OP, no need to worry. Even my relic C4 turns heads. People ask about the car at gas stations.

I still get a lot of looks, nods, thumbs up and the "nice car" comments all the time.
