So I've been tossing around the idea of selling my C5 coupe and picking up a C5 Z06. I currently have a C6 too and love it but I've heard and felt the C5 Z06 and it feels like a completely different car then my C6...thoughts??

depends. the c5z has always been a unique car to myself and the reason i bought one. you can mod a coupe and easily make it faster, but, the c5z as it was stock is just a neat piece of automotive history

Totally agree. My first vette was a red 2002 Z06. Then I got an 07 VY Coupe and loved it. Beautiful car.

Now I just bought another 2003 MY Z06. The C5 Z06 feels more like a legal race car than the C6 coupe if that's what you are looking for.

The C6 was a smoother ride, more refined. The C5 Z06 is stiffer. A smile every time I ride!

I have had a C5 coupe and now 2 C5 Z06's. There is no way I could go back to the coupe. No matter how much I miss the targa. Z all the way!

Have had 2 2002 Z06's now... after owning seven Corvettes and over 75 cars over the years, the Z06's are the most fun Ive ever had with my clothes on!!

I just picked up my 03 Z06 three weeks ago. I wasn't even specifically looking for a Z06. I just knew I wanted a black 6-speed C5. When I came across a black, 6-speed Z06 I said, "Eh, why not." I am not unsatisfied. I have to say the "touches" on the Z06 are very nice touches indeed. the "Z06" on the dash. The badging. The suspension tuning. The exhaust note. The personality of the LS6 is a lot different than the LS1, at least as compared to the LS1 in my Trans Am that I have been driving for 10 years and 250K miles lol.

I have owned a C5 Coupe and a Z06. The only thing I miss about my C5 Coupe is the Targa top.

The Z06 is simply a better car all the way around. Performance, cornering, ride comfort, etc.

To me, other than the C3 Vettes, the C5 Z06 is the best looking Vette ever made. It just has a tough stance and appearance. That is what drew me to it along with the strong horsepower. It convinced me to sell my beloved low mile 1997 SVT Cobra of 9 years...and I am a Ford guy all the way! LOL Sure there are faster cars out there, but this car is by far the best bang for the buck. Where else can you get 400 factory horse power for about $20k?
