Default Is this deal to good to be true? Need advice

He has it as a salvage title for such a low price. It seems too good to be true. Don't want to be scammed any advice?

Salvage title cars are hard to sell, so it sounds legit.

Seems like I would want a lot more information, if a car with 17 miles gets totalled meaning a 60k car had more damage then worth to fix.

18k seems like way too much to me given the information.

Price is right but..............
Check for water damage, there are alot of cars flooding (sic)
the market right now, be careful. If you will except water
damage get the price reduced.

Dont go off Kbb. Use nada. I wouldn't pay a penny more than 15k for it.

Just speaking from experience I bought a salvaged car before, a ton of corners were cut to get the car back going. Airbags replaced with covers only. Plenty of cracks throughout the dash hidden behind panels slopped together with epoxy. The way the frames of our cars are formed is a huge issue if any damage occurred to the frame.

And the "anniversary edition" means nothing unless it's the red/shale combo coupe or convertible.

depends on why the car was salvaged and what's been done to fix it.

some salvage cars are repaired by people with good skills and you really can't tell the difference unless you do a very fine inspection

if the car is mint, has all docs, before and after pics and needs nothing the price is fair

any less than that and i'd adjust down or walk

you can often find an 80-100k mile never wrecked 03z for 18k, that also would be easier to sell down the road. salvage cars scare a lot of people regardless

Unless I knew exactly what was damaged, trusted the shop that did the repairs and could get it at a really good price, I'd keep looking for a C5 with less of a history than that one. It may be fixed fine, but the salvage title would have me concerned.

I paid less for my 02 Z this spring. my car is clean no damage and had 57k miles. Seems like way to much money to me. I wouldnt buy it for more than $13. that's just me. Call your insurance company and see how much they will even insure it for. I bet it is less than $13k

If you want to buy a Corvette and spent $18k . . . don't waste your money on this one - -there are a lot of other good cars that deserve your hard earned dough.

A buddy of mine bought a black 2001 Z06 with 40,000 miles all stock for $18,000 last year. Keep looking, that's a nice looking car I agree, but for about the same money or maybe even a tad bit more you can have a clean titled car.
