Jalopy's usually mean a piece of Junk in my neck of the woods. Yours does not fall into that category!

I use the term with everyone that likes my ride. I always respond with, "Oh this ole jalopy? It's my grocery getter, nothing fancy." lol

I've heard that Jalopy may have gotten its name from the "non Spanish-speaking New Orleans-based longshoremen, referring to scrapped autos circa 1920 destined for Jalapa, Mexico scrapyards".
