So I've been driving this C5 for the first time.
I've driven it 3 1/2 years as a N/A powered car. I've never ever had a ride in or owned a FI powered car in my life. But after piloting this ride down the highways and byways under FI.... It's a different world altogether!
The sweet sound of the V3 unit, and then the BOV sound on DE acceleration takes some getting used to. However the way these cars jump forward on mashing the go pedal and hard acceleration is beyond anything I imagined.
I thought I had enough HP with the bolt-ons and cam/headwork but was not prepared for the big difference.
I will not be moving into a C6 or C7 as long as I am able to drive this car. It's amazing! The only thing left to do is build a forged bottom end, add more boost and realize the sky's the limit!
It's a wonder that I never looked into this a few years back! Don't waste time....do it!

I'm envious Rick - I can only imagine the difference in how the car performs. Congrats on a very nice upgrade to your C5.

I have taken a hit on gas mileage....... but knew HP doesn't come free.
Dyno sheet says 522rwhp posted as Min # -25 up to Max # of 522.
After I fix a restricted fuel line it adds another 30hp(tuner says), which I will do when my fuel sending unit gets here.
f6john, What were/are the final rwhp #'s? I missed it somewhere.

Man that's a ringing endorsement for FI and well said! I know you got MY attention... Congrats on the new POWA! 2 questions.... What blow off valve are you using and any videos of said ear candy?

Would love a blower...but with my compression I'd have to forge my motor as well. Not sure if I want to put more $ in my C5Z. Sure sounds tempting after your experience though. Congrats.

Rick,
When I picked my car up from ECS they told me be carefully when you drop the pedal its a totally different car. Amazing how the car just pulls and keeps pulling. Like you, I have no need to look at a c6 or C7 at this time, I am completely happy with my FI C5.
Enjoy the power

Got to do the heads and intake, already have everything else. S/C was only a dream but maybe forged, etc. is back on the long term menu after reading your comments. Glad you are happy!

Here is video I posted earlier.....
BTW....my mileage is about 130,000 and the engine is a beast! Using PAC Beehive 1218 springs. Joe (Tuner) stated he uses the same springs in his drag car. So no worries.
