Default Superdawg's Drive-In, Wheeling IL today

First time visited the Superdawg's Corvette Drive-In, saw some beautiful Corvettes and met some very nice folks!!
Was a great night, thanks to those who did the hard work and set it up.

My wife has been a Super Dawg fan for 40 years. I told her when I got home last night that I still think Portillo's hot dogs are the best. I'm not big on smashed food.

I had a great time as well and agree that Portillos hot dogs and burgers are on the top of my list!

It really was a beautiful evening and there really were some SmokingHPVetts there! Really a pretty cool intimate environment to have a gathering like this. Parking lot was just the right size to accommodate the cars that stayed and went. Vodkas lemonade were perfect for the summer evening occasion My son Nicholas had a blast and again must have taken 60-80 photos on his DS, he takes interesting photos, you kinda get to see what the mind of a 8 year old focuses in on these great cars. He's the best! What a blessing Nicholas is

As pertains to the cars and company. They were awesome! Saw, Heard and learned about so many of the Chevy Icons. 600+HP, one done at a local HP place claimed to have over 800HP The vintage Vetts were great. I wonder how many were Zainoed yesterday Mike

It was a pleasure to be around good friends and make new ones... Al, Bear, Dom & Tina, Brian & Carrie, Jeff, Frank, Lou & Kelly as well as all the others I'm neglecting to mention. Kelsey & Bobby. I never got a chance to expedite myself and say good bye. If happen to come on the CF site as I promoted and see this post PM me. We are going to Lake Elkhart next weekend 8/11 for the Vett races (meeting at the Lake Forest Oasis 8AM caravanning up to WI) If any of you would like to join us. Again thanks to all for a great time and all the information shared.

On a special note; Happy Birthday wishes 8/5 to my lifelong friend LouiO " The Hammer" you are the best "TrueBlue" friend anyone could hope to have. Congrats Buddy & many, many more!! LoveYa, Nicholas PeterB. & Dad

Portillo's are the bomb, but I have to admit, the SuperDawgs were better than I remembered... Or I was really hungry!!

I was there as well, along with several other club members (Sunburst). If you look at olbear1962's first photo, in the lower left-hand corner just above the entrance sign, you can see the rear half of my grey vert.

Weather was perfect and I had a great time meeting some new people and seeing the cars. DevilDog, I didn't know you were there until after you had left, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you. My wife didn't want to go, so she missed seeing the beautiful '58 and '59 that were there.

Thanks to Superdawg's staff for hosting a great event. All the non-Vette owners were lingering after their meals to see the cars. What attention-getters they are.

PS: I still like Portillo's Italian Beef over their dogs, but both are good.

I just got back from a trip to Chicago last month. First time at Portillo's. God that was good.

Great photos. Looks like a lot of fun there.
